*deadpans* Oh no. Residents have endangered investments of the billionaire elite ruling class. How un-American. Next they’ll want us to start drinking tea.

It’s also easier to track someone and collect their data when used on their phone.

I foresee this face on a plant somewhere in the future.

Career (and aspirational) film crew people in LA have been losing all of their jobs because (it’s so expensive to live there now) it’s expensive to film there, compared to other nations (and states) that offer tax incentives and cheaper labor. The film studios/corps want to spend less, and offshore.

It’s… bad in an entirely different way. Incredibly quotable line near the end, though.

Oh no. Serious question tho - Have you seen Alien: Resurrection (ie-4) and which do you think is worse?

Oregon keeps "not graduating enough" students, but when I see the math homework, I think that maybe the required curriculum is unrealistic. I don't think that the abstraction skills of children leapt forward that radically from the 80s & 90s.

Actually, before the 2000s, we all WERE black and white. Best be correcting them.

If Meta ends up buying TikTok (or Elon) I’m gone for good.

I’m deactivating, and logging out tonight or tomorrow. I’ll remove it from my phone, but I am a little squeamish about wiping it totally. Groups are my big problem.

Brick it and make an insurance claim ends up being the only resolution for devices, sadly.

They may as well put it in Washington, since that’s who their customers will be out there.

Most people I'm aware of just use Dropbox (Pro?) for what you seem to be describing. Their "Replay" feature gives you similar time-stamped comment functionality to Frame.io. Real-time collaboration is SourceConnect, AudioMovers' ListenTo or Zoom with pro audio

Anyway, it struck me as on par with that sort of algorithmic "If you like this, here are a ton like it (that aren't as good or groundbreaking)" marketing. It's a story as old as media, but it feels like it has accelerated in recent years.

Also, even though I haven't followed that "Romantasy" subgenre, I went into a B&N a few weeks ago, and that section was... overflowing. Very similar cover art and titling on most of those. Also the YA section. It had been awhile since I was in a mainstream bookstore. It was surprising.
