You wrote about more than that. Nice take on the MIA former Pres. One would hope he woke up Sunday wondering if he's missing the moment, but, nah, he probably took a swim and some Netflix meetings.

It's the "make the monkey blind" line that gives it away.

Business owners and leaders, big and small, never got the memo that for the true believers, the subtext of "deport the criminals" always has been and always will be that the act of crossing the border "illegally" makes a person a criminal by definition.

I'm gonna wear my Rogie Vachon jersey, and carry a sign that says, "The only Kings in America are from L.A."

When they do raise their voices it's to shout down lefties, who, I should add, are usually correct. "Punching Hippies" became an early blog meme for a reason.

Yes, thank you.

I don't ever talk about how smart I am. I just talk about how dumb other people are.

Now you're just getting weird and petty.

Every question you have was answered in my post. Yes, I'm OK discriminating by age when it comes to members of Congress. I mentioned 70, so let's roll with that. There could be rule or maybe just a pledge by Dems, I think an actual law would be unconstitutional. And "arbiter" is literally in my name

I didn't say that. That's Jill's headline, so, a) why did you tag me? and b) that is nothing but a shit-stirring comment that does nothing but try and derail the conversation. The gerontocracy in Congress is a problem, esp for Dems. Have that discussion, don't inject BS.
comment in response to post
Not really. How would you even re-phrase that so that it could apply to another demo?

Mmmmkay. TBH, I was not aware of the modern Teri culture of Seattle, I'm sure it's delicious and will seek out if I ever make it back. In post-war-to-the-millennium West LA, the Sawtelle neighborhood was all things Japanese, and Salmon Teriyaki was Mmmmmmkay!
comment in response to post
That's fun, but no fact. Sakai, mirin, shoyu and sugar, aka teriyaki sauce, is centuries older than Seattle.

Other than it's a "bunch of ingredients brought by Cali expats," I cant say I understand the Seattle Dog (I say this as a Cali native). Sriracha and jalapenos? How is that remotely Pac NW?

I just bought a used dealer car, an Audi electric with 4760mi on it, for $27.5k under sticker. That's 7.31 cents/mile. All new cars lose 40% right off the lot.

#6 seems dangerous, but LA, for instance, is not only a sanctuary city, but I'm quite sure has any non-military Fed presence out-gunned by miles. #7 needs to happen yesterday. The Govs of POE states need to put down this tariff shit by any means necessary. Long live the California Republic!

CA alone is the worlds 4th largest economy, imagine if IL, MI, NY, CT, NJ, MA, MN, VT and WA all withheld tax $, and kept their ports open? #3, just because. #4 & 5 are obvious. We'll have the $$! and probably many fed employees would rather work for the State.
comment in response to post
#1 is largely symbolic, and has no basis in law, but 🖕, do it anyway. Maybe house Dems take the hint, grow spines and come home anyway, making every single R show up to make a quorum. #2 is the Big Move. We need a tax revolt, but the States need to take the lead.

5) Create any agencies needed to absorb these ppl. FEMA and USAID, for example. 6) Expel all Fed law enforcement officers and employees, and close their offices. 7) Block Feds at the Ports and block import tariffs. That's probably enough to get everyone's attention.
comment in response to post
1) Recall their states congressional delegation. 2) Direct state employers to re-direct the % of taxes equal to the states' deficit, plus 25%, to the state Treasury. 3) Activate their State Guard. 4) Offer all non-law enforcement Fed employees identical jobs in State Agencies.

Nine of the top 10 "surplus" states, those that pay out to the Feds in taxes than they get back, are Blue. They need to collectively:

If the executive of the nation can "executive hereby" his way into ignoring laws, than the laws have no meaning. If federal law has no meaning, State Govs are free to "executive order", and with their state leges, a whole lotta things!
comment in response to post
This is a moment in history, and We the People need to tell our state leaders to step up and fight back. HARD! Blue State Govs, especially those with Dem congresses, need to collectively act. They must be made to understand that we are no longer the United States, we are 50 countries.

Disobeying court orders, denial of habeas corpus, renditions, issuing illegal tariffs, illegally terminating gov employees and agencies, misusing appropriations in violation of congress' powers, and corruption you could fly a 747 through. And that just scratches the surface of the abuse.
comment in response to post
Blue states, led by Pritzker and, if he can find his balls, Newsome, need to turn off the money spigot. 9 out of 10 top "surplus" states are blue. Direct employers to re-direct that surplus +20% into our state treasuries. The pact has already been broken, time to use our $ to fix our shit.

Check A. Giridharadas's podcast of Sara Nelson, pres of the Assoc. of Flight Attendants, "Is It General Strike O'clock? She makes the point that during the 37 day shutdown, it was the threat of FAs walking out on a rainy night in Newark due to fatigued ATCs that got Mitch to make a deal the next day

Like, I'm pretty sure most leftists were OK with masking, social distance and vaccines, maybe some not, but now their making excuses for the regime of "we're locking everyone in their apartments for months on end".

I'm gonna have to agree with Maurizio. Watch that ghost mode video going around. You can see how much more oversteer his car has relative to Lando. A pointy car is faster but much harder to hold together. With a setup to his liking, I'm sure he could push that very fast Maclaren even further.

Now that Congress is just making up math to justify more tax cuts, and Trump is imposing a $6B tax hike on consumers, maybe time for CA employers to re-direct 80% of our real money to our State Treasury. We can't act like the 5th largest econ while still supporting their dismantling of democracy.

Yea, and Dems should be filing articles now and campaigning now on getting to a 2/3rds Senate majority by promising to immediately impeach both of them and make Seaker Jefferies President.
