Don’t think Momocon would make that available on a busy convention floor.

To clarify a bit, I don’t think they were purchasing it because they were the orange bricks, they just saw DBZ and swiped their card.

Once again, my only contribution to the cosplay is growing a beard. @hyenasandgin.bsky.social did all the work on both of these.

Geinuely most of the credit goes to my wife, @hyenasandgin.bsky.social. I was like, “Hey, Marshall would be easy for me to do, right?” And they whipped it up in 5 seconds, even 3D printing the Blue Angel mushrooms. Also, they’ll be dressed as Frances’ outfit from the pilot.

And yes, that is two years in a row I’m cosplaying Joe Bennett characters.

I'm on a Mac, but this is also an option on Windows. It's under Integration, make sure "Handbrake" is checked. Then Handbrake will use MakeMKV's decryption and can pull the chapters directly. Now you can encode smaller files straight from disc. Never have to open MakeMKV again if you don't want to.

If you link MakeMKV’s decryption to Handbrake, you can just grab the chapter it’s in from Handbrake. It’s in MakeMKV’s Preferences menu.

All versions of the game use ray tracing, including Series S. There is no baked-in lighting in any version, they developed it with ray tracing in mind from the ground up. So they probably did save time since unlike Eternal, they didn't have to do the lighting twice.

My off-the-cuff ranking:
6 (Bloodlines)
5
2
1
3
4
Probably need more time with the 6th one to solidify that, but I had a lot of morbid fun in the theater with this one. Great time with a crowd.

Also, clearly the filmmakers on this one absolutely love the second movie more than anything. It is referenced even more than the first one.

Also, of all the games to pick on: DOOM!? Not constantly stuttering UE 5 games that run exceptionally poorly on PC?

It’s basically complaining that Nintendo Switch 2 games won’t run on the OG Switch. If devs want to keep making games for lower-end hardware, more power to them, but I think expecting Triple AAA games to not use the latest features and raise the bar is far-fetched.

I don’t have the game yet, but Indiana Jones also has ray tracing forced on and the game runs great on my mini laptop that only has an AMD iGPU, no discrete graphics. Knowing iD Tech, it probably runs great on old hardware like RTX 2070’s, a card from 2018.

It's not crazy, I think my point is more that it's not a simple idea that could just happen overnight, like most things.

Either way, if they magically did it tomorrow, the curation on-air would be negatively affected. After looking further, I don't even think the Criterion titles would be in the clear because despite HBO Max having a license to the library, Criterion's own service has a linear component.
