fwiw i wrote it all myself and it all works but I'm getting to the edges of my knowledge mostly in terms of making it clean and structured.
it's a huge cargo workspace with a bunch of intercrate dependencies, and some python maturin stuff, and some TS stuff that depends on the rust stuff-uses crane

fundamentally, a model doesn't "know" what it made up, it's predicting the likely next token based on a huge database of learned information

a lot of people use RAG, retrieval augmented generation, to search websites and databases when running to provide sources - but a model can't make an objective judgement any more than a person does, and often misquotes the provided sources or draws incorrect reasoning from them
