The thing is, US could have said "Don't", but Trump needs some chaos somewhere to distract from his absolutely blunderous domesic bullshit.

Asking the right questions, like: Wait, what?! and Are you seeing this? and This can't be right..? *confused excitement*

In my early teens I legit wanted to plugin myself to the computer, instead of a keyboard and mouse, and have a neural interface driver just read my brain to unleash my creativivity. It was a skill issue then and it will be a skill issue in the future if we offload the work to an external service.

Do you mean like github.com/nicbarker/clay or some sort of design tools?

Well, if there one thing you can trust orange to do without fail is betray his allies. It was only a matter of time. There is only so many directions to piss till the wind blows it in his own face.

I'm not a (Render)doc, but that's not normal.

Early post-neo-meta-modern contemporaries would disagree, respectfully, with self-deprecating ironic snark and humble sarcasm.

And you may ask yourself, How did I get here?

What kinda new speak is this?
saving = trying to replace
an outmoded idea = too expensive
Do they realize they are soon to also be "an outmoded idea"?

I think or_else has a nice imperative ring to it. Maybe someday there will be a lest also.

This type of BS and the pricing of GPUs in general is really going to hit game developers hard, as people just won't buy new games if they don't have atleast $800 to throw at a GPU. And when the dev business suffers, there won't be nextgen games. And then there is no market for GPUs. Bold move.

I'm gonna have to frame this one.

Fair. You really only need a single file with 5-10 lines to setup basic compilation and linking. That one has all the scaffolding for checks and tests and compiler options.

I'm not actually 100% sure this is the exact one I used. More likely I used some earlier version of some of the same stuff.

For cmake I've used bits of e.g. github.com/cpp-best-pra... There seems to be an explainer from the author too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucl0...

I'm using cmake+vcpkg+vs combo and it kinda works ok. Some open source starter kit type stuff for cmake from github helps. vcpkg is pretty good, has VS integration and has recentish versions of libs i need. VS also has cmake support that usually works correctly after some initial hurdles.

It's useful sometimes to consciously slow down and reflect on what is going on. Take a moment to step outside of the flow. Be aware. Reason about the circumstances. Let the vibe check do its thing. Then continue if it makes sense or take a longer break if you need to.

A dystopian plan fit for the genre.

Right after this Musk bought the kompromat on him.

This reply is mostly to the replies. Success stories happen often enough that the platforms are making an absolute killing. If the money was divided equally, every serious game dev could be living comfortably.

It's almost as if the rent seeking concentration of capital is bad for the whole planet and everyone on it.

This is a curious complaint after a very cursory thought. You can afford a $2000 ($3000+ really) GPU, but can't bother to get a $500 used computer to play your old video games. Akin to complaining that NES games don't look as good on a 4k OLED as they do on an old CRT.

Did you mean: I'm just not working on the thing I should be doing right now, but mostly working on everything else that might be relevant in the future?

Muskow bought Trump from Putler fair and square. Some good old kompromat. Prolly some island footage and nuclear secrets in the mix. Big sad. I hope Americans get their shit together. Hopes and prayers lol.

I haven't been able to find anything reasonable. Everything is overpriced and not quite the thing and shipping options suck. I hope you share if you find something.
