I'm in the minority but loved he way it snookered managers over a three week period, even if the way they utilised it didn't quite work, I loved the concept.

Transfer to Pereira very much on the cards for me

I can’t get the setup I want by including Hogh, so a GW1 Gulbrandsen (K) before switching to a Viking striker in GW2

He’s in now instead of Salah but it was a tough benching headache

The only small % chance is that he actually needs to bring Jackson on if Chelsea aren't winning.
But looking at the fixture run, this is the ideal fixture to sacrifice.
At the top level of the game, these decisions can be difference makers, very poor.

It's no coincidence that players start performing badly when the team isn't doing well.
He's not a robot even though some use that emoji, and other factors like confidence come into it.
The word variance gets peddled about but sometimes we need to look deeper into why it happens.

Get the feeling he gets booked today.
The ease of the fixture, the short turnaround in fixtures, so he can time his rest with his his suspension against the easiest team in the league.

I held off on Saka too and feel stupid for doing that now as it would have meant I couldn't afford some other players I wanted.
But it looks like Saka is more important to have than those players.
There's no shame in changing plan, the quicker you right a mistake, the quicker you can make gains.

I'm pretty sure I hear this intended target rock up most weeks, with decisions going both ways in the past.
Maybe they've wised up this year - can't think of a bad call so far this season.

Agree.
Just wish this particular rule was applied consistently.

Yeah, might go Watkins instead and lose Foden instead of Bruno. But Bruno seems meh playing as the 8, be interesting to see if that position is a hybrid 8/10 that still gets involved.

He could literally score 10 at that ownership.
What a time to be alive.

Well the fixture is there... just got to hope for a good outcome!

Thanks mate, trying to stick to my guns. Once I start looking at EO, that's a dangerous slope - I start picking players just because of ownership then and I hate doing that.

I believe this is the source behind it.

JP for me.
Can't see a clear candidate so gone rogue to attack the best fixture.

Yeah thought long and hard about it, can't get over how good a fixture it is and how Brighton's attack could feed on Southampton mistakes.
Hate it being first fixture as well, but I'm happy with the choice.

Yeah will be tough mentally but trying to forget all that and go for who I think scores most.

Last week for me probably although might bench and play him
v Forest

Yeah I get it too. My only other gut pick is JP though and not sure I trust him enough

Yeah I can picture that tbh. Salah has sneaked his way back to pole position for me even though I had no intention captaining him start of the week.
Then City played Feyenoord....

I'm getting Salah vs Man Utd under ETH vibes this week tbh.
City are that bad right now.

Yeah feels like a time to consolidate rank this week, with some lesser owned players it should be enough to just own them.

Yeah I'm leaning that way too.
Keeps a balanced floor instead of being greedy with Pedro gains and opening myself up to Salah losses.

I'm between Salah and Pedro - the Southampton fixture keeps tempting me.
comment in response to

Yeah I think I'm coming back to Salah, the lure of players with better fixtures seem to attract me more, but Man City is a good fixture now too I guess.

Could have cut the sentence short after "good" tbh.

The Foden one is impeccable

Nah this doesn't apply to night games.
Doesn't have the 8am pasta and lethargic at 12:30 vibes.

I'm undecided.
Pedro/Palmer/Salah.
The safe play is Salah, but my gut says Pedro.

I'd say it's more likely than unlikely.
Pedro could run riot, and Salah is facing a weak defence.
