Didn't they say as much? I recall an interview in which Trump said Elon "won him Pennsylvania" because he's "good with computers".
I don't want to say the election was stolen, though, since that's straight out of Trump's playbook, and enough of what he's said has reached my country.

And if I may, Canadian lumber, steel, and oil are a large part of what the U.S. uses regularly, not to mention the parts Mexico and Canada play in the American automobile industry.
