What if... This Musk / Trump breakup is performative as a distraction? Notice how it ruled the news cycles where at least I had to come online to read about the SCOTUS ruling on DOGE and Social Security? I was just thinking about that...

IKYMI: DOGE: "We're going to just access this Social Security data, that cool, brah?" SCOTUS: "Totally cool, brah. Be our guest. Knock yourselves out."

Let's hope AI doesn't truly disrupt the job market place over the next 4 years. If AI displaces Americans from the labor force the Trump administration will NOT implement UBI. At least according to Trump's AI czar, David Sacks.

Its lunch time -- well I don't take lunch but for the rest of you... Anyway, I am fine -- no damage, just some fallen branches from high winds (no tornado near me). Now I am back to working on the web browser project. One of my "shortcuts" didn't work so now I have to actually put in some work.

Good morning friends. I hope your Friday is off to a great start. Mine is getting kicked off with coffee and tornados (not necessarily in that particular order). I am fine, the tornados seem to be south of me at the moment, but it still makes for quite the eventful morning. I'll keep you posted.

To the surprise of absolutely no one: Business owners have said once the tariffs take hold, they plan on rising prices on everything including on items not being tariffed. Basically, the same strategy as the "cov-lation", use tariffs as an excuse and justification to raise prices on all ideas.

Now Elon is calling for a Trump impeachment. His desperation to kiss up to the folks responsible for the "woke mind virus" to so evident. Did he finally figure out MAGA couldn't afford his Tesla's?

If some hanky things did go down during the 2024 election, now would be the time for Elon to come clean. Not that it would likely change anything but at least the MAGA cult would know the truth. Assuming that what we suspect to be true is true. Just maybe that will bring the cult to sanity.

The Trump / Musk break up is getting nasty. First Elon speaks out against the big beautiful disaster. Trump counters with (paraphrasing) "I took away his money and EV mandates he is dependent on". Now apparently Musk is talking about Trump and the Epstein files (unverified). Wow, just wow!

Those that hate generative LLM AI now are going to hate it a year from now when these services get transformed into Epistemic engines. Basically, they will act just the same as they are now, just with % of confidence in correct / useful information, with sources. #AI #LLM #Epistemic #Tech

So this is happening: And now the White House wants to partner with Palantir to bring this sort of technology to a state near you.

I am going to assume the McLoud Blackberry Festival that is taking place June 20th & 21st has nothing to do with the once popular hand held devices. Would be kind of funny if it were, imagine just watching a bunch of suits texting each other TPS reports for two days.

First stage of the browser done; will be working on the Rust logic tomorrow. I could possibly have a functioning alpha build ready by the weekend. Of course I am taking a lot of short cuts; which cuts development time in half.

Apparently my link did save the first time: Finally, copyright ownership rights of copyright holders are pushing up against privacy rights of everyone else. While this doesn't fall square on all copyright owners, it does effect those who had nothing to do with model training decisions.

I just heard about the murder of Jonathan Joss, who was the voice of John Redcorn in the animated show "King of the Hill". I don't see the DOJ viewing this as a federal hate crime, but they definitely should be.

I decided to take a peak over on that other platform just to get the vibe of the MAGA implosion happening over there. Saw a bunch of "supporters" bail because of the Diddy situation. It's funny those same people would have been okay if the person in question was named Danny Masterson.

If the F scale goes by surrounding wind sheer then it was a 1, if it goes by directly the tornado speed, likely a 0 until it touched downed. We saw it as it was hanging from the could as it rotated. (Just want to clear that up) It was windy on the ground that was for sure.

Good morning friends. Spent most of the evening yesterday storm chasing, saw a nice F1 just starting to fire off just outside of OU Campus. My friend captured footage from an OnCue in Norman, if he sends me a copy I'll be sure to share it with you guys. What a wild day yesterday was.

Remember when Tim Pool was against authoritarian governments in 2011? Fast forward 14 years later he is now the official spokesperson for authoritarianism. Now he's in a pissing contest with a neo-Nazi. Too bad it wasn't with weev. At least that would have been entertaining.

You can not confused an Okie for just any typical procrastinator. Okie's grew up most of the lives in what they call the "Sooner" state. Short for: "We'll get to it 'Sooner' or later." Typically it's the latter.

I think MLB did a disservice to its fans when they changed the rule on stealing a base or going for extra bases. The old way, once you beat the tag, you were safe. Now, once you beat the tag you need to bust out the Gorilla Glue because if any part of your body comes off that bag and tagged - Out!

I think I will have full working beta of the new browser concept ready by Thanksgiving but hopefully its a little sooner than that, hopefully I'll have it out before week 1 of the NFL and NCAAFB 2025 season. We'll see.

Some good news on the spending bill front: Some GOP Senators & bill supporters themselves have doubts certain provisions in the big massive mess would withstand a Byrd challenge, specifically those regarding judicial power and the state AI ban; and feel they will likely have to be scrapped.

Teachers, you do know that LLMs have the ability to analyze writing styles right? I only point this out to let you know soon, you won't be able to tell if your student even uses AI to complete their assignments since AI can use writing style mimicry to duplicate the student's exact writing style.

I am looking forward to the day that professors beg their students to start using AI to do their assignments, especially when those professors begin to realize many of their students in their classes are barely functionally literate. I'll bring the popcorn.

Frustrated that creating a new browser means bending a knee to Google (using the Blink engine). I may have to just deal with it in the beginning and then work on a new engine over time to break up with Google and forge my own path. *sigh*

I like how Opera constructed their browser; they were able to keep their RAM and CPU down despite having multiple background processes running. I may have to model from that. Maybe nor more than two or three processes instead of 10+ ? We shall see.

Using LLM to prepare legal briefs is fine, just as long you KNOW HOW to properly prompt the LLM apparatus. Lawyers, if you need help doing this. I am available... For a price.
