I’m a day behind but damn, what this show needed was a sarcastic American throwing so much shade. I never would’ve guessed!

Just need some swelling dissonant guitars and then a sudden ska break and we’re in!

Speaking of soundtracks, I also created a one shot survival horror tabletop RPG called Slaughter Party and composed a 5 song soundtrack for it.

My wife figured it out like 30 seconds before the reveal which was just enough time for us to both be like “holy shit! No way! Here we gooooo!”

My only problem with Ben Collins is that we went to the same college at the same time and he’s more successful than me.

Seriously though, putting out new music for the first time in 3 years feels awesome!

@routenote.bsky.social since you complete failed to help me in any way and I missed my release date, I’m now using another distributor. Thanks for literally nothing.

Yeah I totally feel that. I think about that GRRM quote a lot where he said he doesn’t like writing, but he likes having written. I feel that way about writing too. Though I don’t feel that way about music, I like working on it. Which explains why I haven’t published a novel but have albums out lol

There’s an even an extent to which I’m sympathetic to that. I enjoy creating things but a lot of the process is hard so I wish I could skip the hard parts, but you can’t!

This is also why they're so mad when nobody loves their AI slop — they're finally having to face the fact that their ideas have no inherent value after years (decades?) of convincing themselves that they just needed the resources to realize them.

The thing you want to make will be better if you put actual effort into making yourself better! You learn through doing. You figure out what works and what doesn’t. You also figure out why it works or doesn’t. Ideas are the easy part of creativity!

But now they think they can, and SHOULD, have their ideas come to life without having to learn or do anything. But they really shouldn’t! There’s value in having to work on your ideas. Having to try hard to birth something creative into the world. You hone your skills through trial and error.
