The one SOPPA agreement (Ilinois NDPA) they signed says No students under 13 in the Ex A. Instead of signing a new clear doc they signed another Ex A . It is confusing. Even with an actual request they refused to sign a new SOPPA. I worked with them for 2 months and they refused. #ImDone

They refused to sign a new SOPPA agreement. They kept adding addendums and our lawyers said No go.

Our view is AI isn't going away and we want our staff to know the "responsible" way to use it. We are a special ed cooperative and AI has given back time to our staff not just our teachers but our therapists as well.

We have decided to embrace a few tools for our staff that we have data agreements with: @magicschoolai.bsky.social, Canva, Gemini (free for ed), Brisk Teaching, @diffitapp.bsky.social and dipping our toes in @schoolai.bsky.social.
