Yup. Olivia Dade and Genevieve Turner help me fix my books, and listen to me say the things I shouldn't say publicly but need to say to someone.

(I do sub-post, and I do sometimes post my crap on main. But I triumph more than I fail thanks to my beloveds.)

my brain cannot rest if all the details don't fit together. it's why I write my books the way I do (RIP my sales, lol).

a WaPo article said that because his security gigs meant that he worked odd hours, he would stay in the city with his roommate during the week, and only go home on weekends. I'll try to find the piece.

"I want the state to parent my child in the way my pastor tells me I should parent my child."

it's truly astonishing to me how the "parental rights" folks get up and over and over again publicly declare that they don't want to parent their own child. it's wild, really.

One sign I didn't get a pic of read, "Alexander Hamilton didn't storm redoubt 10 for this." It was amazing

It was difficult to photograph the Williamsburg, Va, #NoKings rally. But I'd guess a few thousand people turned out

either way, it's deeply troubling. and I'm certain there's a lot of fear and panic right now 💔

I saw someone posting about that. It sounds like an attempt to shift the balance of power. Absolutely horrifying. I'm so very sorry.

I am hopeful about the future because the kids seem to get it. But the present is very suck.

I get this question about my enby kid all. the. time. and I truly do not understand the concern. figuring out who are you are is the greatest challenge of life. who cares if what seems like the answer today isn't the answer tomorrow!

(every time the ethos of "not selling out" comes up in my classes, my students are SHOCKED that this was a thing. "why wouldn't you leverage your brand??")

WOW. that one actually floors me. I know that there's been a bit of a sea change on sponcon with the youth generally not thinking it's a big deal, but gross.

Impeach Secretaries Noem and Hegseth. Do it today. Congress should do nothing until they do this.

I've written some very sassy letters to my elected officials over the years (ahem, and in the last few weeks and months). But I always show respect for the office. Always.

I didn't appreciate him until I saw the episode of American Masters on him, and WOW. what a talent at just every level. it helped me understand what soundscapes their songs are, and how much of that is due to the production.

are you in Zoe York's Stuff Your Kindle Day FB group? and if not, would you like to be? (I can send an invite!) but yes, this came up in there the other day.

I have heard complaints about serious delays in ranking changes lately. I wonder if that might be contributing.

no, this is great! he'll want more non-fiction to read too. I'd just like to see some fiction mixed in too.
