PBS is funded two years ahead, so that a political party could not come in and shut them down, without two years for them to fight, or find other funding. Again, breach of the constitution. Not that anyone seems to care much about that anymore. Did they ever?

Something to keep in mind when it comes to "trans issues" is that no journalist is writing an article about following a trans person about on a normal day they have just existing. The only way they get clicks is by sensationalizing and demonizing us. That's one reason why there's more of that.

I'm the mom of a now-adult transgender son. I live in a blue area in a blue state. The reality is NOTHING like the sensationalized soundbites and images from the anti-trans crowd. As I've offered before, if you want to know how stuff actually works, ask me! Happy to answer reasonable questions.

"Of respondents who had transitioned, 9% had gone back to living as their sex assigned at birth at some point in their lives, at least for a short while—but in almost every single case, the reason was anti-trans discrimination from one’s family, friends, or community."

"DOGE isn’t simply trying to dismantle the [US Internal Revenue Service]. It is trying to capture and rewire the IRS into a vehicle for executive dominance, privatized tax enforcement, and algorithmic control over public infrastructure." @asteephen.bsky.social, with @nathantankus.bsky.social

Padilla: If this is how DHS responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California.

MSNBC with a great speed debunk of DHSs justifications for tackling and handcuffing Sen. Padilla. Padilla is the top Dem on the Senate Judiciary immigration subcommittee -- there's no way Noem (who meets regularly with senators on this topic) didn't know who he is.

What happened to Senator Padilla is absolutely DISGUSTING. Point blank, period. This shit is out of control. Another elected official disrespected while doing their job. (1/2)

House Democrats need to bring articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, while Senate Democrats need to bring that chamber to a fucking halt.

Kennedy appointed Robert Malone to the top vaccine advisory committee ACIP. Malone is one click off Andrew Wakefield. He thinks the covid shots killed 17 million and that bird flu vaccines are a deep state psyop.

Evan put a lot of work, time, and care into this article. With everything that's currently at risk for trans youth, it's worth a read. Please check it out.

*screams in trans pharmacist* TESTOSTERONE IS NOT BIRTH CONTROL It’s category X (harm to fetus) but it is NOT contraception. If you are with a partner(s) in which pregnancy is possible, contraception is needed!

Thread!!

Thread. If you are/support trans folks, and are on the Internet enough, you'll likely see transphobic detrans rhetoric sooner or later. (My encounters with it were back on Twitter, but it might be lurking here somewhere too.) Arm/Inoculate yourself with this knowledge:

I also wonder how many people are classified as detransitioned when all they did is stop taking HRT- for medical or financial reasons- and they still live as their transitioned gender. (Like me. I am still trans even if I've lacked T for years.)

1. The US Transgender Survey has finally been released, and the results are stunning. - <1% of people are less satisfied after HRT. - The most common reason for detransition, pausing transition, or stopping transition is transphobia. The latest from S. Baum. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Dr. Amy wrote this excellent blog piece for Psychology Today about Sensory Sensitivities and Food, and discussed my guidelines from my food aversion acceptance cookbook and guide COLOR TASTE TEXTURE. Everyone give it a read!

Better save a copy of this now

I just have to say for those of you not in LA that in the days before the horrible raids started, there was no crisis or whatever they would let you believe. It wasn't like something was escalating out of control and somebody had to step in. THEY are creating the problems.

thank you @ndlon.bsky.social and Pablo for helping explain why this Home Depot street corner is essential to understanding what’s going on in Los Angeles.

I wonder how major GOP donor Ken Langone, founder of Home Depot, feels about Stephen Miller specifically telling ICE to round up people at Home Depots

Mayor of L.A., Karen Bass: “It wasn’t a drug den—it was a Home Depot.”

Kristi Noem: "In LA, what we're been going after is the worst of the worst. They're murderers." (They literally raided a Home Depot.)
