I've been wondering for a while why Trump was so obsessed with slavery lately ("and some who weren't treated very fairly"). I suspect the "deal" for CECOT includes profits from the detainees' labor on top of $6M. If they were to bring them back, we would owe large consessions for unrealized labor.

One could pull up lots of quotes from Stephen Miller, Vance, Noem, and even Pam Bondi, not to mention the Proud boys, etc that are no better.

They were actually paid close to fair market value after negotiationes with each applicable farmer, for land that was largely left uncultivated (and in some cases basically abandoned).

I can't change your mind. I was in South Africa in February... nothing about this is true except the racism and neo-eugenic plans.

@joyannreid.bsky.social Just watched your discussion with Ava DuVernay and the concern I am raising regarding CECOT is very much related to the 13th, 14th & 15th amendments.

2/ work camp, includes the profits of the detainees sent there by the US as part of the deal on top of any $6M payment or as they now say, grant. If they were to bring them back, we would owe large consessions to them for the unrealized labor. Yes, not just human trafficking, but slavery.
