Good one, buddy.

Oh wow, capitalizing "rat" in Democrat, how original. Are you 12?
comment in response to post
Your choice to bend over in March opened the door for this. Resign, you useless traitor of a turd.
comment in response to post
Can't filibuster a reconciliation bill, sadly. Chucky pissed away his chance to filibuster back in March like the useless coward he is.
comment in response to post
Don't worry bro, God is sitting in his chair or whatever, bro.
comment in response to post
Dis you? The only Dem to vote for Charles Kushner? Your words are COMPLETELY meaningless, you performative traitor. Hope the clout from the filibuster was nice, glad you followed it up by bending over for everything you pretended to stand against.

Lol I was listening on my headphones at the gym when he said that and I almost went ahead and dropped a weight on my head.
comment in response to post
And let's all watch as ZERO consequences come from this.
comment in response to post
I dunno if that's the only reason, but it didn't help. If there was enough time for the party to do a true primary instead of waiting for Biden to do the right thing when 2/3rds of polled Dems didn't even want him running again, we'd probably be in a much better situation right now.

I agree with the sentiment, but also think a successful presidential campaign to unseat MAGA needs to be at top of mind to have as much planning and momentum as possible.

Good thing y'all have been sanewashing the hell out of Trump for the last year. Good going.

This means he should also fully divest from his holdings on DJT and his memecoin.

Please get primaried.

Let him try. Have the lawsuits ready.
comment in response to post
For real. Like, he's a nice enough guy and I mostly appreciate his voting record. That's allowed to be enough without thinking he should be in this leadership role at the most critical time in US history.

The Christian victim complex is truly next level.

If it's still above 40%, we're cooked.
comment in response to post
Thank you for actually doing something. I hope more than a handful of your fellow Dems are inspired to take actual action, too.
comment in response to post
Any of my fellow veterans who voted for this are traitors to their oath.

I've actually seen the Rockies win a game.

I don't really want to bash on Murkowski for saying this thing that she knew would lead to backlash, I'm more pissed off that her colleagues won't say it out loud. They could remove that dangerous moron so fast if they moved on impeachment and conviction right now before it's too late.

Aw, even after you've been sanewashing this administration so relentlessly?

The party that refuses to negotiate at all gets blamed. The party in power gets blamed. Dems in swing districts in the House put their careers on the line voting against it, 9 Dems in the Senate wouldn't and it was under Schumer's recommendation that they followed him.
comment in response to post
For what? Doing what his party voted for him to do? Calling on Republicans to have a magical change of heart and change of platform instead of calling on Dems to defend their own platform is not a winning strategy.
comment in response to post
F I L I B U S T E R. They could have forced negotiations at the very least, that's what the GOP did on every fiscal bill in Biden's first two years and they got a ton of concessions out of it. Senate Dems didn't even try. Watch them roll over on the SAVE Act in the Senate.
comment in response to post
There's nothing to explain, you're just wrong. The Dems made zero effort to even negotiate the CR that basically handed power of the purse to the executive. All they needed to do was use the filibuster to get Republicans to the table for at least done concessions, but they rolled over.
comment in response to post
We have the filibuster, they refuse to use it. They can organize resistance, but only two of them are actively doing that. Enough with the apathy.
comment in response to post
They had leverage last month and they pissed it away, why are you gargling their balls right now? The GOP lost both houses and the presidency in 2021 and still managed to stifle Biden constantly from the minority. They got his spending bill cut in half. The Dems didn't even try negotiating the CR.
comment in response to post
There are absolutely moments they had leverage and they didn't do shit with it like when they voted for cloture w/ no negotiation on the CR last month. They did NOTHING when they did have power to shore up our democracy. Meanwhile, the GOP got Biden's funding bill cut in half FROM THE MINORITY.
comment in response to post
Exactly.
comment in response to post
Elaborate. All you have are brainless ad hominems. Tell me, oh wise civics professor, why would a fifth of Dems in the Senate vote for cloture on a bill that handed massive power to Musk and Trump? They gave up every ounce of meaningful leverage they had until September with no attempt to negotiate.
comment in response to post
I see you're not giving any specific examples of how exactly they're doing that. Jeffries has offered us thoughts and prayers with "God on his throne" and resigning to saying "what leverage do we have?" and throwing his hands up. Schumer and the Senate side won't even filibuster pro-Trump bills.
comment in response to post
I went to school as a poli sci major, you really wanna talk civics?
comment in response to post
Yeah, Pelosi does ignore younger Dems and constantly gets in the way of progressive policy while using her position for insider trader. She needs to go as well.
comment in response to post
HOW? Fuck off with this "you don't get to ask elected officials to fight back against fascism because something something privilege".
comment in response to post
Yes, 1000% I think Stacey Abrams should have a statue, she's a powerhouse and a great example of exactly what we need.
comment in response to post
I read the platform, this isn't about me, I voted for Kamala, it's about normal voters. You think the regular working person is diving in to read the literature? You can't give the average voter homework and hope they do it, you need to push the point effectively when you have the floor.
comment in response to post
But also, it's THEIR job to organize and get people engaged. Bernie and AOC are doing it. Cory Booker put his body and health on the line to make a ruckus that got attention. That's what we need, not this "welp, we don't have power, what are ya gonna do about it?" attitude from guys like Jeffries.
comment in response to post
It isn't disinformation. 20% of Senate Dems voted for cloture to pass the CR, led by the minority leader. That is *objectively* true. I never said both sides were the same, I'm pointing out that the Dems don't fight for their platform the way the ghouls in the GOP have for the last ~20 years.
comment in response to post
I voted for Kamala and helped the campaign, who the fuck do you think I am? They knew they had an issue with optics around warmongering and the genius plan was to parade around a CHENEY? I agree that racist/sexist America is a HUGE reason for the loss, but don't pretend they pitched a no-hitter.

Never been a fan, I was very frustrated that he was the choice to run against Dr. Oz, but I'm also not in PA.

How the fuck am I "suppressing votes" exactly?
