MESSENGER 93: An ominous message from a crow launches a teen on a quest to save the world. “…this intense and haunting novel pulls readers along on a complicated quest, and asks critical questions for readers to return to long after M’s journey comes to an end.” The Miramichi Reader

Not an answer for you but the thing I really notice is how it engages the core.

Ooh I like this! Thank you, Ann! I actually powered through today by introducing an unusual object and it infused the scene (and writing of it) with a kind of giddy energy. Maybe a little like the Captain Happen.

It’s ridiculous. I take these so-called clogged roads with bike lanes in downtown TO all the time. It’s fine. You know which roads are clogged? The ones with construction. Also, last I heard, people who ride bikes are also citizens. (All negligible points beside the environmental benefits etc).

My Beloved is new for the same reason. Good to have it back on the shelf.

Bebe, hi! I cowrote Modern Persuasion and one of my fave memories is chatting with you backstage and dancing with you on it. Hope you’re well! 🥰

Sorry for the typo: *Hernan* Diaz

Yes me too! The ending gut-punched me. The tenderness within the high stakes action.
