Very few oaks on Barra. There's one in the plantation that has the flycatcher, but it's not very big. However there are magnificent sycamores: these get a bad rap, but they're brilliant for migrant birds and when in flower, they're covered in bees.

Thanks! I know how that is. My old patch was landlocked and received little interest from other birders. I made the most of it though and found a few good birds over the years.
