The founders were pretty specific on what they intended the 2nd amendment to do. It was to give the states and the people the ability to fight against and overthrow a tyrannical government.

Because it allows for the people and more specifically the states to keep and maintain a militia to prevent against a tyrannical government. If trump wants to be king then we should make him fight for it every inch of the way. Make them conquer us or let us conquer them. This is a war.
