This is why I love dragons dogma 1 . It has fast travel, but it's tied to the world's lore, which adds a level of immersion. Plus, the portcrystals are finite and can be moved around adding to the immersion experience

My favorite magic system is and always is the "magic has no rules" trope. Even when it's overpowered. It doesn't always make sense, but that's what makes it fun. You think you understand the rules, but then something turns the rules on its head and it's just awesome or cool.

In all honesty, maybe it's just my nostalgia, but I wish they would remake Quest 64/Holy Magic Century. I had fond memories of it as a kid and now as an adult learning how it was rushed and wasn't given the love it deserved to make it something truely great makes me wish it was given new life.
