1. We had a deal with Iran. Trump canceled it.
2. We had observers in Iran. Trump called them home.
Trump wants this war and has been working since 2017 to make it happen.

Too be fair it appears that the majority of voters in America chose to elect Trump. He was very clear about what he was going to do and people chose him anyway.
I assumed after his first term and then Jan 6th he would never be elected again but here we are. I share his frustration.

It isn't for citizenship it is for permeant residence. It is a green card you can buy... but that means nothing to MAGA

I would much rather have Joe Manchin than Jim Justice in the Senate. Even if Joe only agrees with the Dems 10% of the time it enhances the power of the whole party and control of the body.

1. Establishment Dems are too afraid to take meaningful action.
2. The young demand total compliance with their ideology.
The olds need to demand reps take action and the young need to know that an A.O.C. candidate will not win in WV. Electing someone that agrees with you 50% is better than nothing

They could solve illegal immigration overnight by jailing employers, but that's not the point. It's about creating maximum pain and hardship to ensure only the most desperate remain in the shadows, thereby creating a labor force that will suffer abuse and slave wages without complaint.

In case you need proof billionaires are psychopaths & shouldn't be allowed to exist. Nationalize SpaceX & tax billionaires out of existence.
We went through this before. It created the gilded age & ended in depression. We're in a new gilded age & we'll suffer for it

You should apologize for the decades of lies, deceit, the courtship of bigotry and the promotion of anti-intellectualism that lead us to today.
I am glad you're here now but the lines you crossed years ago with the "ends justify the means" mentality is what caused this mess.

Trump is the biggest pussy on the planet. There is no way he would EVER throw a punch even in self defense. If threatened, Trump would drop to the ground in the fetal position and beg for his life.

If he leaves Tesla he is still the single largest stock holder. He will have input and will benefit from any profits.
Elon needs to leave AND divest.
comment in response to

Elon should step down and divest from Tesla. He continuously lies to investors, makes horrible decisions (such as removing LIDAR and the Cybertruck), and he even prioritized xAI over Tesla to prop up X, to Tesla's detriment.
Elon needs to not only go away but not profit from Tesla ever again.

It is the blatant hypocrisy that gets me.
These are the highest paid employees in our military and the small government people wants to let them goof off for 30 minutes?

Here we are four days later asking where is FEMA. How long until Trump tweets out "this is Biden's FEMA not Trump's?"

Trump is a pitiful, pathetic, waste of DNA but 77 million people chose him to be our president.
Trump is the symptom and even with gone the disease will remain.

Poilievre was all in on MAGA rhetoric until Trump started his trade war and Canada bashing. His embrace of using Trump's phrasing early on left a bad taste in the voters mouths and I think had a larger impact at the ballot box than people think.

Would you be our friends? He was elected in 2016, America kicked to the curb in 2020 then brought him back in 2024.
No one will partner with us knowing that any deal or agreement will only last until the next election.
The time of America's global leadership is done.

I was in Canada last week & the political rhetoric boiled down to who hated America more & who could develop new trading partners faster
The damage MAGA has done to our country's hegemony is complete & probably permeant. Their ignorance & narcissistic world view has ended American global leadership

It had a much better than expected 2nd weekend. But as I stated in another reply the studio doesn't get all that money. The studio usually gets about 60% domestically and it can be as low as 20% in foreign markets. I hope it does great this Tues and even better next weekend. I want this to succeed.
comment in response to
post
Too soon but the average is 30 days. I feel the shortened time between theater to streaming is a major contributor to people not going to theaters.
comment in response to
post
Tues has also become a big day for movies since most theaters offer a discount.
The problem is these numbers don't tell us everything. The studio usually collects about 60% domestically but it can be as low as 20% internationally. The gross Box Office could be very high and still not turn a profit.

I went in cold. No trailers and didn't read anything other than it needs to be seen. I try to do that for all movies since the trailers just give too much away.

It's great but it's basic math. If it doesn't recoup its cost then it isn't a success. Make the investment back in theaters and profit comes from video sales/rentals/streaming.
Very few movies make more money as the weeks progress but as you can see below Sinners had a fantastic 2nd weekend!
comment in response to
post
Sinners had a great opening weekend & an even better week. If it continues (I'm going Sat) it may hit $100 million this weekend.
Unfortunately it had a budget of $90 million. Add $45-75 million for marketing etc it needs to make $135-165 million globally to break even.

If you want to do something to help, become a monthly supporter of the ACLU. These MAGAts can only be stopped in the courts and groups like the ACLU and American Oversight are the ones that are going to do the yeoman's work.

God the stupid is so strong with these people.
They just lost their discovery objection and I am sure they are going to try and kick it to the Supreme Court that already ruled against them. Now some unpaid intern just gave the clearest evidence yet that they're obstructing and in contempt of court.
