8x8 has been hugely helpful for me. I like having numerical targets to go for and used to get hung up on type counts from the average EDHRec deck for a commander, which just isn't a very good metric. I've been making much more balanced decks lately due to sticking to 8 cards per theme, so thank you!

In the same vein, I think you could make the same comparison of Tikka Masala and Indian food!

Pad Thai was created for that very purpose, to be an introduction to Thai cuisine in other countries. The history of it is pretty interesting, it's not even a hundred years old

It's a shame it flew under the radar so much, wild film, I really enjoyed it. Nailed that mix of eerieness, intrigue, and existential horror

I remember being pretty pleased with the selection at various stadiums years ago, but recently I found that Camden Yards and Madison Square Garden had a pretty pitiful (and ABInBev dominated) list of offerings. Glad to hear Nats Stadium still has a nice range of local beers.

I just leased my first EV and at the dealership I was convinced I'd need to get an electrician to come install a DC charger in my garage. Two months later, I haven't bothered to even try a DC charger. I don't even use the AC charger unless the battery is actually low or I have a long drive coming up

I'd like to see them live too! They're playing locally but the same day that I'm going to see Poppy

The Poetic Edda EP is stellar, I love the way each track starts with clean instrumentation before the brutality kicks in.
I saw Nik's vid about the new track and he had to switch from streaming the YouTube video to the Spotify track pretty quickly to not get in trouble with Twitch lol

Be sure to follow @vorthosjay.bsky.social who has made some MTG story/lore starter packs as well! And @vorthosmike.bsky.social too

Also going to link this thread in case it's helpful, since it's specifically about finding other MTG people on Bluesky:

The official MTG account run by WotC, @magic.wizards.com, has a bunch of starter packs. Click their account and there's a start pack tab with a bunch of them listed. I also recommend checking out MTG feeds, like the one I made that Nick posted, to find even more users!

Just clarify, this is a feed, not a starter pack. Since this feed is based on a list of users rather than a hashtag or set of keywords it functions much like a starter pack. There are a bunch of MTG starter packs out there as well. Cheers!

That's a weird omission. I hadn't seen this news, and one show is localish for me, so thanks for sharing! And holy shit, Protest the Hero as an opener is wild

I noticed it running once but the Logi+ settings menu has a toggle and after I turned it off I haven't seen it running again. I'm unclear why people are removing the folder or editing the app permissions json when it's a setting you can just turn off.
I agree it's annoying that it's on by default.

Ayocote beans are killer, I got some from Rancho Gordo. Bet they're even better home grown! What do you like to do with them? Typical pot beans or something else?

Heh, no pain no gain I guess. At a minimum, searching through the feeds to find some to subscribe to and turning on the feature to get them into your Following Feed will get things going. Your following feed also improves dramatically from following 100+ people, just to keep things interesting

Also, make sure you turn on the setting that peppers your "Following" with posts from Feeds you follow so you continue to discover new accounts (this is how you showed up for me, you're in the coresky feed!)

No algorithm, for the most part. You'll want to do the following things:
• Search through Feeds and subscribe to feeds you're interested in
• Find Starter Packs that are collections of accounts with a common theme that resonates with you
• Use the SkyBridge browser extension to migrate from twitter

I've seen Polaris and Periphery live, would love to get to a Lorna Shore show one day.
Are you a fan of ERRA, Make Them Suffer, Oceano, or Northlane?

Props to MetalSucks for at least covering this responsibly by making it clear that what he said is stupid and addressing misinformation in his quotes. The first news I saw of this was from Metal Injection with zero commentary as if what he was saying was ok
