You know, I used to believe that humanity wasn't really as bad as pure evil. Like everyone had a chance at redemption. But this just proves I was wrong. Humans are way more evil than I gave them credit for.

That's a nice thought, but anytime there is a restriction of knowledge, it's typically used for bad reasons.
I personally feel like everyone should know of everyone else's religious beliefs and practices. It's how we ensure that we can deal with the moral code of others and be respectful.

Seems even more petty now that we have people detained for more than 3 months. I hope they don't have the same bad experience in getting their shredded cheese when they get out.

I mean, the argument is always that the democrats are wasteful spending or pocketing the money. But like okay, that should be as easy to prove as what we can see with our own current administration, right? How long does that ruse work?

I mean, kind of the way of the world. I've never made a bonus off of anything I've ever made and I can't tell you how many times I've been promised IPO stock or some other empty incentive over something basic like a 401k or healthcare.

I think the arrival of Godzilla to a city gets less attention than this.

That is the same logic as any bully uses to hurt someone. "Your hostile response just shows that you needed to be hurt even more."

Oh my gosh, both the book and the movie. They are an egg hatch experience for me!

Should we be more concerned over RFK's brain worm? Are we dealing with a pod people scenario?

Actions should have consequences. And we are merely human not gods, we don't need to have divine forgiveness.

There better be a tribunal at the end of this with a who's who of the Republican party crying their little tears about how they were just following orders.

I'm sure we will be blamed for this as well. That or it will be used to justify some ineptitude on the part of the administration.

I mean, seriously, if he is elected, it's just going to be a different version of Trump. The problem is not just who is in charge. There is now a dangerous undercurrent of a king making system.
I don't want my existence to be used again as a pawn for whoever is next.

ICE, NYT, Congress. There are so many spineless assholes that can justify "it's just a job" and "I'm only following orders"

No one should have to. It sucks that we have to have this same battle over and over again for basic human rights for any minority.

We had a lot of scuttler enemies. Almost all of them were ambush types like this.

Every monster complicit in this must face charges. There can be no "just following orders" excuses. Your humanity should be weighing on your actions regardless of the "job" they are doing.

Trump is also whining about too many holidays. Again, they are just telling you what they plan on doing.

I know this isn't a great comparison, but circumcision is a medical procedure that is irreversible and performed without a child's consent. But there has never been an argument to control that as much as a non-surgical and reversible procedure like puberty blockers that are proven to help kids.

The Powers reserved for the People, is what is needed in this moment.
Every official that is NOT moving to stop these crimes, are now themselves committing crimes that THE PEOPLE can indict them for.

I think I'll worry about Bluesky being an echo chamber once it becomes a platform used by a political party to overthrow and destroy a government all while setting up a martial law enforced by dangerous unidentified thugs who kidnap the country's citizens.

That is awesome! We also knew some of Quanah's relatives when I was able to go. The ceremonies we attended were around the Lawton OK area!
I recommend Empire of the Summer Moon for anyone that is interested in learning about the history of Quanah Parker and the Comanches!

Yes, it is called that. But I can see how it is a word that has been used in derogatory fashion by many other bigoted whites and it is not my word. We were lucky to have some good friends in the Native American community of Lawton OK that invited us.

Thanks. I realize that the word can be loaded because of how it has been used. But that is literally what they were called. by me and my white family as well as our Native American friends.
My mother was good friends with some of the original code talkers and their family who lived in Lawton OK.
