Bit of a fantasy story you're concocting, no?

There's never a savior. We're in this mess because we don't understand that self-governance takes effort. We've been careless with our freedom and too willing to give it up. Shall we despair or shall we try our best to get it back?

The protests in Romania in 1989, in Ukraine in 2014... Were mostly leaderless. So are the protests in Serbia right now. You do not need leaders, you need communicators most of all. Explain to the fence sitters who stayed at home in 2024 that the monster is going to eventually come for them all.

Why the F does every "Democrat" with leverage instantly drag down Dem party as not doing anything? I am so tired of you all. The last thing the country needs right now is for top Dems to start fighting over who's going to run in 2028. We need everyone, everywhere, all at once.

Wouldn't that imply things were really bad though? I mean the LAPD can outnumber the activated ones 3 to 1 right now. Over a tiny protest?

With over 95% in, Keishan Scott (D) defeats William Oden (R) by 41.2 points in a district Kamala Harris only won by 5.1 points. That's a Dem overperformance of 36.1 points.

📣 100+ town halls in GOP turf — with House & Senate Dems leading the charge. ✅ Special election wins — From NE to SC, we’re winning and overperforming. But somehow folks stay obsessed with drama in safe blue primaries and miss the actual work being done. We don’t have time for the foolishness.

I think it's all a distraction...

Plus, anyone paying even a bit of attention (i.e. not the beltway media) would have known that Biden was going to put up the numbers from SC onwards. Black Dems were waiting for primaries to get to them.

I think it's the Obama link.

Like the journalists who think his ownership of Twitter/X has been a failure because he lost users & advertisers. He bought the platform to bully & misinform the masses, which he has succeeded in doing.

Seems pretty clear that DOGE wasn’t ever designed to increase efficiency, but to destroy regulators in Musk’s way and gobble up the data of the American public and its government so as to provide Musk market advantage in AI race.

DOGE will almost certainly end up COSTING the government more than the trivial sum they’ve saved. Nothing about the way they’ve operated makes a lick of sense as a sincere attempt to cut waste or ferret out fraud. They do just enough theater on that front to preserve the illusion that’s their aim.

Soc Dem parties have such close international networks, they should be able to learn from each other’s mistakes. Then again, if they don’t even learn from their own mistakes…. Why do leaders listen to self-defeating “advice”? Why do they ignore decades of academic research that can help them?

Am I the only one who remembers when Ted Nugent said Obama could suck on his machine gun and all the republicans just shrugged?

I probably would have snapped the same photo. Meaning went straight over my head until the uproar. They are using this as a distraction.

Waiting for when that otter jumps in a bath of water and mum is thinking about the rescue.
