It does share an important similarity with every fiat currency - its only value comes from enough people believing in it.

Sure, but 2 planes lost from the same carrier would seem to be grounds for relieving the CO.

Par for the course for Google. They’re an illegal monopolist and should be broken up 50 different ways.
comment in response to post
You act like a monopoly taking a loss is a foreign concept. At any rate, why carry water for Amazon? So much of the company’s gains have been ill gotten.
comment in response to post
It’s intentional. Google doesn’t really want you to find what you need right away. The more $earches the better.
comment in response to post
Sure they can. It’s actually a great opportunity for them to further consolidate their illegal monopoly.

Amazon does swallow its 1p retail business, like a good monopolist. It squeezes sellers in 3p in order to maintain some margin.

Sorry but if he thinks Ukraine is winning on the battlefield he’s delusional.

They’ve already won, unfortunately. They’re not going to give up the 4 oblasts they occupy nor Crimea. Ukraine doesn’t have the ability to take them back, no matter how many weapons we pump into the country.
comment in response to post
That’s interesting. They’ve been at it for 3 years in Ukraine and it’s still a slog. How could they threaten a NATO country?
comment in response to post
So does Israel.

That won’t go anywhere. Do you really have an expectation of privacy in a snack given to you at a police station?

which seems unremarkable, until you consider that it started in 1970

How will they be decisively defeated? I wish that was possible but I don’t see it.
comment in response to post
Why would they? They’re winning on the battlefield. Winning ugly, sure, but Russian military doctrine embraces attrition warfare. They just don’t care how many soldiers they lose.
