Scalzi is a hoot! He comes up with such ridiculous premises. We had a chat with him on our podcast a few years ago: open.spotify.com/episode/4Msi...

#currentlyreading I'm continuing my read through of the Dandelion Dynasty by Ken Liu. Now reading part 3 in The Veiled Throne (book #3). Liu's writing has become a close friend. Familiar and a comfort. Even when it brings pain.

Do: - If you are able Star Wars fan, MoPop is having special event on May 4 - Ballard Locks is good for picnic/watching the boats go in/out of the locks. Can usually see sea lions. Herons are nesting in the park now. A bit early to see the salmon tho. If Sunday, grab food from farmer's market.

I'm 3/4 of the way through now. It's very good. Very atmospheric, tense, and creepy.

And tapping on the note will take you to where that notation is in the text of the story.

In the ebook? Yes, there should be a section called Notes if you look in the table of contents. I think if you tap on the notation in the ebook, it'll take you to that note.

Ah I see. If you ever do get a chance to listen to the audiobook, I recommend it. Full cast narration. Get the longest version. But even the longest version is still abridged. Reading ebook or physical version, you get the whole thing and the footnotes.

It's so ridiculous and entertaining

I got many chuckles throughout the book. Glad you are enjoying it.

#currentlyreading The Emilie Adventures by Martha Wells. It contains 2 YA fantasy adventure novels featuring a young protagonist named Emilie whose dreams of adventuring are coming true. But she finds real life adventures are much more dangerous than the ones she's read in books.
