Say what you want about this admin, they're impressively consistent in their impulsiveness & lack of planning.

Welcome to the resistance, @peterbakernyt.bsky.social . It only took 9 years for you to get real about what's going on.

They want an excuse to declare an insurrection & use the Insurrection Act. Let's not give them one.

@lasdhq.bsky.social put out a statement yesterday saying they don't assist in ICE enforcement. So what is this? (Guessing they'll say traffic control.)

He's yelling "ยกayรบdame!" - help me!

His unspoken premise is that everyone they're looking for is a dangerous (read: non-white) criminal & ICE's only concern is protecting everyone else. I call ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’ฉ.

Doesn't "human trafficking" mean the person is being transported against their will? Feel Bondi is being inflammatory by using that term.

Interesting: indictment was filed on May 21. Why is it being made public just now?
comment in response to post
Bondi is doing her best to trash him in every which way, accusing him of things not indicted, in violation of DOJ rules. Suggests this isn't a particularly strong case. Not that it matters to DT, Bondi & crew. They're desperate to get people talking about anything that isn't Elon.

So when can we expect to see Greg Abbott & Ron DeSantis indicted for transporting illegal immigrants out of their states?

You answered your own question, @emptywheel.bsky.social - it's all about keeping the access.

Jake Tapper's next book reveals that Reagan had Alzheimers in his 2d term. Then he'll spill the beans on Woodrow Wilson's incapacitation from a stroke. And then about Lincoln's bouts of depression. And is anyone aware FDR had polio? C'mon, Jake! The public desperately needs this info!

Shorter version: Trump put a 22 year old in charge of stopping the next terrorist attack. Do you feel great again yet? (Just realized this guy hadn't even been born when 9/11 happened!)

I turned off the TV as results were coming in and instead cleaned dog poop stains off the carpet. It was much more enjoyable.

Republicans put in the budget bill that courts can't enforce contempt citations unless security (a bond) has been posted - rarely if ever done when the gov is a party. Boasberg is getting ahead w/order to plaintiffs to post bond - a whole $1. Suggests (to me at least) he WILL hold gov in contempt.
comment in response to post
Just saw that. Judge Boasberg is having one today! Protects any forthcoming contempt citation from Congress' interference. (Watch that section of the bill get changed now.)

Media talking about Biden only serves to distract us from all the horrible that's going on now (ex: Fox programs are mentioning Biden roughly 30 times for every mention of Medicaid). Focus, people!

I don't normally wish ill on anyone but for him I'll make an exception. My vision is all the Big Macs catching up with him some day in the form of a massive stroke, leaving him wheelchair-bound, surrounded by mirrors & a soundtrack of people laughing at him playing on a continuous loop.

In the wee hours this morning, DOJ asked for *another* 2 weeks to provide discovery that's due tomorrow. Judge asked plaintiffs to respond by noon today - IMO a huge tell of how seriously (not) she's considering the motion. Her order denying the request is gonna be ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

What about market manipulation? Isn't it likely that DT & his pals are cashing in on the wild swings?
