their stated rationale for military occupation - stated here in this clip - is thought crime. quite a reveal

The inverse doesn't apply because it's not performative. Gender expression and identity have evolved since your own formative years (you used a "back in my day" expression today). Learn and grow, or don't - that's up to you.

You’ve spent a lot of time today arguing over something trite and given your lamentation here, it’s not improved your day. Maybe it’s not worth arguing about pronouns. We can accept things and their rationales without needing to bend it into something to debate or needlessly criticize. Take care.

I do wonder what about this platform attracts humorless scolds. Are these guys the MSNBC/Maddow coalition

Obama was charismatic and funny, so we must revere him instead of weigh how his anti-populist ratfucking has played a crucial role in our crawl towards authoritarianism

It's worth exercising a little selflessness. A person wants to be addressed by their preferred pronouns. If I call you a she, or a he, whatever runs contrary to your identity - that would bother you. Same concept here. It's not speech police. It's courtesy.

ICE is kidnapping people that are appearing at their lawful court hearings. We always hear “come here legally” — they are and they did, and now they are being stolen from us. You call those monsters? Shame on you. Examine yourself.

I get the desire from this person to lash out but it was always correct to say Harris-Walz aren’t vocal enough. We should imagine a world in which constituents are vocal on their issues. We shouldn’t just vote defensively every election, look where it’s gotten us

He's so cocksure of his subservient role to the wealthy, to be on TV & pit the poor against each other, and is proud of himself for tagging a candidate with such a stain - but a moral policy is a good one & Kat refuses to compromise her morals What kind of world does CNN want us to live in?

For a while I thought they were being threatened but that’s giving them credit because it presumes they would otherwise want to be meaningful opposition. I don’t think this anymore, I believe there is no interest in the representation of constituents whatsoever

You don’t know any better, evidenced by you hand waving the obvious truth. Israel is an apartheid committed to maintaining it no matter the human cost, and they are backed by a dying empire; yes, it’s going to be difficult to push back against such an oppressive boot. But it is necessary.

It's Chromium unfortunately. Frustrating.

I remember her for being an impassioned Biden dead-ender until showing up at the DNC coconut-pilled, I guess Democrats see an opportunist that falls in line and decided she'd fit right in
comment in response to post
You’re blaming the voters for hearing Harris say she wouldn’t do anything different than Biden, and deciding to stay home. She lost of her own doing by failing to earn votes. You’re upset and I am too but it’s not the voters at fault. It’s the leadership. Tim Walz knows this even if Harris doesn’t.

America has insisted Israel exercise restraint in the past. Consider the Siege of Beirut in 1982 (Reagan!) or even Biden’s efforts in 2021. Democrats knew key voting blocs wanted an end to the violence, but they didn’t do anything. Not even acknowledge the Palestinian plight. Why would they do that?
comment in response to post
Deflection is not an argument nor is it an answer. I think the President, Congress, whomever, can stop weapons transfers and thus stop the violence that they create. That we did not means we, at minimum, tacitly approve of the senseless devastation.
comment in response to post
That’s not the topic. You said we have no impact on the internal policy decisions of Israel. I said of course we do — we sent them weapons, and if we didn’t, they can’t conduct the genocide. Are we complicit in the violence or not? Yes or no answer. And if we’re complicit, why didn’t we stop it?
comment in response to post
So you admit we are complicit, regardless of who approves the aid? Do you also admit we could have stopped the genocide by ending weapons transfers? Do you also admit we failed to stick to our so-called red lines and continued to fund senseless devastation?
comment in response to post
Yes, we let them do that with our weapons and our political cover. Israel cannot pummel Gaza without our lethal aid. No weapons transfers = no genocide
