Oh, here's my two cents then: When someone becomes emotionally charged, their ability to make logical decisions drops exponentially. So it's not immoral to have rage, it's just stupid to act on it.

I didn't cut anything off. Im just saying I prefer to remain hopefully optimistic that Thanos snaps his fingers and I have an 50-50 chance of not having to worry about it anymore. I'll take those odd over my current ones.

Saying something is "morally right and good to hate" something is kind of shitty. I don't think morals fall under hate. I prefer: Optimistically hopeful they will forget to look both ways and not see the car coming.

Yes, the world doesn't have to be lame and unfunny.

Would you prefer arrow shootings? Lol sorry I just found it humorous you specified the type of shooting.

I'll be fine. It's just the people who think they know better and don't get vaccinated who will be in for a bumpy ride.

Why not? Who cares what other people think?

And I'm short with you specifically because you clearly didn't read any of the other conversations I've had with people on the topic. I'm over it, have a good one.

You guys are not so special that people are looking for you to steal. They are just data scraping, which is legal btw.
comment in response to post
The code it generates isn't possible without using code from other software developers. You don't see me complaining. Get over it. If you don't want your art scanned don't put it online. Stolen is such an overdramatization.

I am just tired of repeating myself. I wasn't being sarcastic. Thanks for the input, I do not wish to respond.

Awesome thanks for the input!

Idk why you think I don't get it. I already told you I code for a living. I spent thousands of hours learning coding languages. You just ignore that the same thing affects me. You can just pop into chatgpt to built a c# script. You cant eliminate the human factor. In coding or in art.

As a software developer I understand very well the fears of being replaced by AI. Because it's easier for a computer to write code than it is for it visualize art. But I also know the human element can't ever be removed. Problem solving isn't a machines strong suit. This would break an AI model.
comment in response to post
I come up with a valid scenario and I just get "In short, shut up." I don't work with AI but I do software development. It's fine to use others code/art as a base. It's when you try to pass it off as your own when it becomes a problem. It's used for the same purpose. To better future products.

I think everyone has their own identity. I also think we over nuance it. Ill call people whatever they want to be called and accept however they identify as is. But if you need a full sentence to get out your identity, I think you need to look inward a bit more and declutter.

So I hate this kind of rhetoric. I even if the president is an idiot. Its up to the people to keep it a good place to be. I still love living here and wouldn't go anywhere else. If you don't like it... Leave.

Be very careful with this. 1. Repeatedly calling a company without a legitimate business interest is subject to harassment laws. No, disagreeing with the CEO is not a business interest. 2. This is Blue Sky. His name doesn't need to be misspelled. 3. Who has that kind of time?

Scenario: I'm an art student trying to figure out a better way to shade. I Google "great shading watercolors" for inspiration. Yours pops up and I really like it. Am I not allowed to use that to train myself on how to shade in the future without asking your permission?

Actually look at the comment right above where you asked for a link. I provided EXACTLY what you asked for. But sure, you win. I'm not going to argue with someone this hard headed.

Data scraping isn't illegal. It's used often in data analytics. Anyone can use my style or code to learn off of. It doesn't harm me in any way just betters the future. Just like using yours doesn't harm you. It's not theft because it's not my code they presenting. Maybe based on it but not mine.

Dude I was asleep. Grow up. www.mauiweddingart.com/faq/pricing Took me all of 3 seconds.

Look up wedding artist. That's the ballpark. Lol you assumed a lot without doing any reading.

I'm in the Software development field so yes I have to follow the laws of plagiarism and IP daily.
comment in response to post
The academic definition of plagiarism from Oxford: Presenting work or ideas from another source as your own, with or without consent of the original author, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. "As your own."
comment in response to post
It's only plagiarism if it is claimed as their own work or as something that it isn't. That's a very important part of something being plagiarism.
comment in response to post
You are welcome to your opinion. I wish you well and know I won't be calling you names.

If open source didn't exist, we would be living in a state where information is not available to the public freely. That's dangerous thinking. It's a exactly what trump wants to happen. Ignorant masses to follow him blindly.
comment in response to post
It cant, otherwise it wouldn't be open source.
comment in response to post
Stooping to insults is a bad look on everyone.
comment in response to post
That's how open source intelligence works. Sorry to break it to you.
comment in response to post
That's a stretch. You can opt to not post your stuff online. It's a choice. We have known since Myspace once something is online it's there to be used forever.
comment in response to post
Idk where you are getting not paying people for labor. I think you are just trying to find reasons to disagree at this point and making stuff up.
comment in response to post
You can't replace the human factor. It's just not a thing.
comment in response to post
Exactly, and when we need an intelligent mind we go to the artists. When I needed a logo I went to an artist not a AI because AI can't do exactly what I want and it never will be able to.

First - Berries is my call sign from when I was active duty so..no. It's just Berries. Nothing before or after. Second - Let's not stoop to insults when someone disagrees with you.

I mean I think it was the worst halftime since Maroon 5. But that's just me.

Read my last comment to you and it will invalidate this post.
comment in response to post
That's true if you do it from hom but most public libraries can get them for you without going through that paywall because they have the access to those journals. Just have to be a bit resourceful.
comment in response to post
I mean..okay????
comment in response to post
So that's why I said personal use is what makes it ethical. If you are claiming / selling it as original of course it's wrong. But if I wanted to use AI to convert my wedding picture into anime style and put it up in my bedroom where no one will see it but me and my wife. Who cares.
comment in response to post
No, I am just a huge supporter of open source. All information should be shared and available to use by everyone. Look at Linux, it's a great example. As long as no one is claiming completed art as their own there isn't an issue with using the style of another artist.
comment in response to post
Your response shows you have no idea what the Linux model is otherwise you would have realized what you said doesn't apply.
