It's not uncommon for an editor to both have open calls for submissions for publication, and to offer paid editing services. This, in itself, is not a problem IMO, as long as there is a clear separation of concerns, but it becomes a problem when the editor crosses the streams.

One of the things that anti-trans legislation does that should severely fuck off any cishet woman is the fact that even if you're happy / comfortable in your gender, they are essentially making it impossible for you to have the option to change. What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders? Like a car or house, if you build or buy a website you have to do regular maintenance on it or it'll break or be broken into, vandalised, etc, or go derelict. Maybe not shocked, but they don't seem to know you can't "set and forget" it.
