I am a good grandma (just ask my grandsons!). I am also good at cooking, baking, knitting, and making jewelry. NOT so good at keeping my house super clean and tidy, but the other things are way more important IMHO!!

5. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
6. Doobie Brothers
7. Steely Dan
I know Raitt and Prine are not groups, but that's my list, and I am sticking to it!

Our generation was witness to the Civil Rights movement, Women's movement, and social change. We are extremely pissed that this progress is being systematically eroded. Leaders were assassinated, and people hurt or killed to gain changes. We know how this works. "OK, Boomer" indeed.

And now 2 dead in Minnesota: a Democratic congresswoman and her spouse. Assassinated in a politically motivated shooting. And others wounded.

Such a travesty

This makes me so sad and angry. Stay safe, Minnesota. We can no longer tolerate masked people raiding our homes, businesses, schools, or places of worship. It puts us ALL at risk.

Dr. Phil?!?! More ridiculous every day.

I have been known to use paper clips, hair pins, safety pins or bits of contrasting yarn in a pinch. I live in US Minnesota so I can't help with shops.

It's not a mistake unless you keep doing it, it's a lesson.

Agree. I made 2 Christmas stockings by request, and nearly lost my mind. But the pattern was also very putzy. Maybe a larger motif would be better?

I made a mosaic knit sweater last winter. It was an ok knit, but, as you said, not very challenging.

I truly found the homes filled with love were the only ones I envied. Those were also usually the ones that welcomed me & felt lovely, no matter the condition. I was in one that had clear plastic over everything: sofa, lampshades, even runners over the carpet. Really clean, but pretty unwelcoming.

I love the surprise of how a project like this unfold, but I am not bothered by stripes or pools.

I am not a nurse (Retired MSW). But I was a SW in hospice as well as a team manager in hospice supervising all disciplines. I LOVED working in hospice. As a nurse case manager, be certain you have an available and supportive medical director and chief nurse to consult while you are in the field.

Yeah, following the diet plan doesn't make for good crappy TV. 😄

I live in Minnesota and agree: rubber band. Elastic holds up my undies.

I have never been a list maker, but I am now. On my phone, because if I went to get pencil & paper, I would forget what I needed to list, or get distracted and wander off. Ugh

I went down a needle size for my first try, and got gauge, but it was just way too huge anyway.

I had to frog mine and go down a size, as mine was way huge. Ugh. Starting over.

My hubby peed on an electric fence once. Just once. Our 3 children can drive, have jobs, and their own mortgages and insurance now, so, evidently, no harm done.

That is hilarious! 1st: You don't want people thinking about you in the shower, so you talk about being in the shower on a podcast. 2nd: get over yourself
