"Computer says no" used to be a punch line now for many it will be a grim reality. Human services require a human touch, every story, circumstance and need is different. We have gone from robo-debt to robo-cop and the end result, after much harm to individuals will be the same.

I've just finished Lyrebird. Right there is a mini series in waiting

Only if the military supports you the people rather than Trump's minon, Hegseth and so far they aren't showing any inclination to protect even their own service personnel. Trump's worshippers are the ones with the guns and as Jan 6 proved, they are happy to do as he tells them no matter the cost.

The battle has been lost. Trump has refused to obey the courts and ignored cease and desist orders. He acts without the ratification of congress. The USA is no longer a democracy or governed by rule of law. All that remains it to wait and see how far the military will be pushed.

Woohoo! Congratulations. I can't wait to read it.

Singing from the Trump/Murdoch song sheet. Lie, lie, tell an even bigger lie then double down. What a hate-filled little man Dutton is.

Is Albo suffering short term amnesia. The LNP won't honour any ALP appointments to anywhere. How long does he think Kev07 will last if his party loses the coming election? The LNP will stack every independent tribunal, reference group & round table to ensure whatever harm they do is waved through.

The LNP think he is coverboy pretty but everyone knows he has an ugly heart

Can't wait

Like Murdoch, Bezos and the other billionaires, they knew no-one would vote for them so they never ran for office. They knew that trump is a very weak cowardly man and is afraid of them and their power so they backed him and now will run the USA for themselves

Don't go quietly..form an Older Women's Network and harness the strength power and intelligence of older women to beat this pack of petty little misogynists with too much money into oblivion ownaustralia.org.au

The rich get richer and yet the poor still don't get the picutre... What did they expect when they backed Trump and his rapacious billionaires This is where manufactured culture wars to mask outragous wealth growth and greed will get you.

So now let's watch the blowhard get his minions to photoshop massive crowds into a warm, sunny square so he can claim he had the biggest crowds evahh

The more photos of a smiling Dutton the better....it just looks so unnatural and creepy.

Dutton wants the assets of the working class. Withdraw your super, add it to your savings to buy a house, hang on to the house through interest hikes, AI induced unemployment and anything else that can be thrown at you over 50 years then lose the lot to his rapacious mates in the aged care sector.

Absolutely. Maddox has been one of trumps biggest critics

Every single fox news presenter who reported his ravings as if they were were genuine comment. Every single right wing blogger, journalist and commentator who gave the moron a free pass and repeated his lies including the biggest one: that he knew nothing about Project 25.

I was just about to suggest this car.

Why call this thug and bully a skilled negotiator. He uses lies, tricks and temper tantrums to try an intimidate to get his own way. My 9 year old granddaughter does the same thing and is starting to realise adults don't respond well to this kind of behaviour.

It is the right-wing's song book. Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison spent their time in office blaming the ALP for every ill-conceived, wealth transfering decision they made and now Dutton is getting away with blaming ALP for the mess the LNP created. This divisive corporate shill could be our next PM

I think this piece from Waleed is a work in progress. He is trying to explore why those who believe in justice, fairness, egalitarianism are rejected as a "woke" elite and the rich, greedy and dictatorial are not. Why the property-wealthy Dutton is seen as a cop made good but Albo, a class traitor?

Democracy is now officially dead in the USA. The GOP have no respect for law, convention or even tradition. They are only interested in domination and subservience. The civil war is being rewaged only this time the army, even though armed, aren't hiding in foxholes, they are using their vote.

Why? Why? Why America? You knew what he was like. You knew how petty, vindictive and spiteful he was. You knew he never did anything for anyone who didn't do something for him first. You knew he was a liar and a cheat but still you foisted him, not only on the USA but on every other nation on earth

Keeping Dutton, Gina and the Murdochracy away from the pointy end here is an immediate priority for anyone who cares about the future of this country.

But they have managed to screw the entire planet

So people are now laughing at this non-tax paying, clown who thought gaming the system and getting rich made him smarter than everyone else but have just voted to install the worst of people like him to the highest office in the land. Looks like the joke is on them.

So in the world of the ALP cabanas on a beach annoyingly saving a spot are un-Australian but a country indulging in genocide, blatant land grabs and massive breaches of human rights and rule of law is not.

The end result of allowing Murdoch's minions to set the generations against each other so we complain about other people's kids and miss the real damage of wealth disparity. It's only the children of the poor who are locked up, rich kid's parents have expensive lawyers to keep them out of gaol.

Just goes to prove that there is no link between being obscenely rich and intelligence.

He certainly was. I met him on a habitat for humanity build in India. Quietly spoken, genuinely interested, and was probably the only American on site who understood why our team with Steve Waugh was attracting more press coverage and excitement than Brad Pitt's team. Ah, yes cricket.

I just hope all the people in Australia who are being conned into thinking Dutton could be PM are watching Musk become the unelected President and are starting to realises that Rhinehart shares the same views as Musk and exercises the same control over the Dutton and LNP. Elect Dutton get Gina!
