Unsure about Corrin's comic chops though. I wonder if she'll echo Knightley by being deeply sympathetic and charming but not quite nail Lizzy's brilliant wit, (which Jennifer Ehle delivered so perfectly). You know who seems like an obvious choice? Saoirse Ronan. Who happens to be married to Lowden!

(I loved Steadman I just don't need a repeat of that interpretation)

Corrin is incredible at suggesting untold depths of feeling and intelligence. Lowden has excellent comic timing so I'm excited for sardonic Darcy eyebrow action. Colman could be wonderful as Mrs B but I hope she's reigned in from going as broad as Steadman and shows some vulnerability.

Unfortunately, it is coming with its fingers stuck in its ears yelling 'la la la I can't hear all the complaints about Israel'. So that's out for me.

If there is strong evidence that a certain physical or chemical attribute gives a large advantage, one could sub categorise, like weight classes in boxing. I'm not sure testosterone variation would qualify as significant *enough* in many sports (I.e. more impactful than leg length, lung capacity...)

Unfortunately, whenever you try to categorise human bodies by 'fairness', you begin to realise there is a tremendous amount of variation and complexity, and complete 'fairness' isnt achievable. There are actually some sports where the male/female split is hard to justify scientifically (eg climbing)

I agree it is a valid question to ask if women who have had elevated testosterone throughout their lives have an advantage over women who haven't. I just don't understand the justification for separating trans women from other women in that category. Neither can help it.

But why exclude trans women and not cis women with high testosterone, what's the logic?

Should we also exclude cis women with other conditions that give them higher testosterone levels?

Yeah for sure. I'm not saying anyone is wrong for posting about these things humorously or otherwise it just amused me that it was in my feed right after reading the above.

There were always people with more to lose and more courage, including particularly Indigenous and queer people. We built networks and counter cultural institutions. We didn't wait for lawsuits or a lead from some 70 something politician. Unions organised, an anarchist tradition contributed...
