Big words don’t make you look smart. Being smart makes you look smart.

Fair, and in the off chance it isn’t a scam, this cocaine habit won’t pay for itself.

I got a view of the two mesos from the west looking south east, it was after the long tornado roped out. The ground circulation of the long tornado persisted well after the condensation funnel dissipated. For a hot second, I thought that the spouts were vortices of a bigger circulation forming

Coming from the Springs, I got stuck in a huge pileup on I-25 and was literally racing this storm up I-76 to get to Sterling. This ended up being the best outcome. Had I arrived early, I likely would have gone too far east. I counted 3 spouts down at once in Akron, and saw at least 5.

I got stuck admiring a bunch of handsome Canadians. An easy mistake to make.

Don’t jinx it for me. I’m on a roll. I’ve almost collected every single tumbleweed in the Rocky Mountain west.

Jesus fuck why are there so many tumbleweeds stuck in my grill.

It’s all in your head. Nothing to see here. Don’t worry about it

Do we need more white dudes making podcasts? Taylor Lorenz just made a great video I think about a lot

Aye, more phot. My best tornados this year so far.

It’s basically just birdwatching but the stakes are marginally higher. If I had been on the other side of the mountain, this is what I would have seen beneath that crazy-ass wall cloud.

This is like the one good photo I got from this vantage point before this pull off filled up with storm chasers, haha. There’s 3 storm chasers just out of frame on either side. If I set up on the other side of the road, it would have been even more hidden. I need a drone.

This effing mountain, specifically, blocked my view of the tornado. Who could have known there were hills in the Sandhills? The average untrained layman probably can’t tell the difference between a wall cloud and a tornado, right? Screw it. This is a category 8 tornado. #wxsky #wxpics #wx

Idk, I bought a farmers almanac and it says something about sunspots. Better than nothing.

Would have worked better if I had named or linked my game, but my dog is great.

This. Companies are going to start issuing their own ‘emergency’ guidance with no ulterior motive. Definitely not to change premium access to weather models. I am not saying NWS should issue passive-aggressive discussion areas with obscene shapes as a form of protest. Not not saying that, either.

@wxliz.bsky.social since you’re a person who draws shapes on maps for public safety, i felt this was worth your attention.

Ok, when someone says there’s a “ya’ll warning”, it makes me think that a caravan of people from Texas is coming to town.

How do you fit that much in your noggin without other things falling out

It’s a distraction. I know, it sucks. We can’t be hung up on this.

You forgot to mention the caked sphinxes

You can thank @zrrion.bsky.social for this one. He designed almost the entirety of E4, including all this lovely stuff.

I want to acknowledge that I heavily referenced the videos of a local Archaeology and history YouTuber Andrew Cross, aka “Desert Drifter”, for Episode 4. He passed away 2 months ago after being struck by a drunk driver. He was the same age as me. I am devastated that he is gone.

I would be remiss not to mention the visual design of the cyberspace levels, which are primarily inspired by windows 95 screensavers, arcade games and the vaporwave music scene.

And our final chapter, New Deseret. The city of Cyber Verde is inspired by the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde, here in Colorado. We combined the hidden desert structures with the brutalist art deco style associated with LDS temples to get something pretty unique.
