When private insurers drop out, they assume that the state government will step in to offer underfunded policies. They've been right so far.
This means that climate change is hitting state budgets now.
In 10 years, Florida will be asking for a federal backstop.

Governor Walz has recommended that we cancel No Kings events across Minnesota because the individual who assassinated a Democratic lawmaker is still at large. For the safety of all involved, we are cancelling events across the state that are not already underway.

Ok I got that a little mixed up. She was the former speaker of the house. The chamber is tied, so in the power-sharing agreement she was not speaker, Demuth, the republicans was. Now they have the majority and speakership in the chamber, but have no business at this time.
