The dueling versions of Moana was an accident thanks to Disney retrofitting the Moana Disney+ series into the theatrically released Moana 2.
Will Disney kill the wildly successful animated version of Moana to make room for the live-action version?

The live-action Moana remake is going to be the big test for the remakes market.
Not only is it coming out wildly close to when the original first hit theaters, it exists at the same time Disney is (seemingly) still making animated Moana movies.
