They want you to declare your research topics so they can track you. Welcome to the surveillance state.

Rage Against the Machine said it best.

Why is the Bulwark filling our information space with drivel about alarm clocks. I understand that you are growing the network. Give us a better way to choose so I can filter topics I don’t have to read please.

Maybe Jake can talk to a Democrat who saw the info. And if no Democrat was allowed to view, call BS. It’s Iraq all over again except against a stronger adversary.

That’ll make it much easier to find for number 20.

Classic. Requires knowledge of well known history and obscure history and current history at the same time. I like it.

Isn’t the pursed lips the Parisian version?

Tulsi didn’t make the assessment. The IC did. So he doesn’t care what the IC said (which he told us in 2018 in Finland).

He had to pivot from the reality is that he was way outclassed at the G7 and had to get out of there.

It would be interesting to see data on the number of post-authoritarian regimes that actively dismantle the surveillance apparatus.

CEO of Pretorian Guard Security Services and they’re pretending he’s a leftist? Good luck.

Hi Dr Briant. Sam Kutner recommended you to me (and others). Your work will help support my doctoral research on the use of Malignant Rhetorical Agitation in creating sociopolitical uncertainty as a pathway to extremism. I’m looking forward to diving into it. 💪

Someone ask if they have plans to use Military force against Canada.

What happened to the JAGs who were fired? What percentage of the officer corps is MAGA?
comment in response to post
Until you know how many MAGA there are in the security sector (military, police, corrections) you won’t know which way this is going to break (left or right). FBI especially. They’re key to prevent atrocities. That info will come from people who quit or were fired.

Thanks Tom. You may want to hook up with @charlieangus104.bsky.social while you’re up here. He’s a lifelong: punk rocker, antifascist, former badass parliamentarian (ask his what he said to the US Republican Senator in Europe), author Dangerous Memory. Pioneer of Elbows Up and Over the Boards.

Even though he didn’t speak American he’s already sparking pride? This is the attitude that makes the world cautious around Americans.

But it would be a great time for Canada to say “no refueling of planes sent to spy on our ally”. Either bring your own fuel or hope you have cold weather gear.

How much do you want to bet that the close calls with the Army helicopter near Reagan that did a sightseeing tour around the pentagon was Whiskey Pete showing off his awesome power to…well you get it.

I wish people would stop cropping the date and time from screenshots. I don’t know when this original post was made nor when the strike was after. I could spend an hour researching this, but it’s one of 20 other things today and I have to prioritize. Context please.

It’s cool Mark. Our issue is not with Americans. It’s with the myth of America. We will ALL come out of this stronger. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Nathan Fillion? I’m down for that.

I would be honoured to sit in one of his university lectures and not understand a damn thing. Just to listen to someone who does understand.

It’s not your fault. It’s Trump’s fault abetted by his henchmen using the myth of American Exceptionalism to fleece their citizens. Americans aren’t the problem. America is. We’re all learning important lessons in humility and community and we will ALL come out stronger. CANUS

Dear BTC, let’s watch out for JD, Theil, Leonard Leo, etc trying to influence the selection of the next pope like Bush did with Ratzenberger. Unless you want Paula White as Pope.

I can’t see how F-18 pilots and their families find this funny at all. Or anyone else in uniform who are being exposed every time they go out. There’s a real chance that SECDEF gets (or has gotten) a US service member killed bc he wanted to show off to his friends how tough and powerful he is.

I’m torn between “They are an institution and it’s important that they stay open regardless” and “They are an institution that teaches leaders to use critical thinking and doing what’s right…therefore they have an obligation to speak out.” Why do these academies get a pass?

It was interstate armed conflict. Terrorism is asymmetric political violence against civilians to force their government into an action the govt does not want to take. Which is what makes J6 terrorism.

I think it was like the pardons. Bessent showed up with a few and Trump said “Fuck it. Tariff them all.” So, at the last minute, they grabbed an internet spreadsheet list of all countries in the world and slapped some numbers. It’s Rodney Dangerfield in Back to School.
