I don't doubt they wanted to win, but I think there will be more focus on L'avenir The same way Roglic obviously wanted to win Giro, but he would definitely have his training more targeted towards the Tour

The level among u23's is so close and the consistency isn't there so peaks will be shorter and the rate of development can be so great

But if it isn't an A event for some of the bigger names, and it is an A event for the second tier guys it can make a big difference. Leo Hayter put just under 5 minutes in to Lenny Martinez and over 2 in to Van Eetvelt despite losing just under 3 min to him on one stage

Baby Giro typically isn't as representative at L'avenir, especially when it comes to out and out GC potential

Would mean they'd get the second placed Slovenian in GC

I’d guess so Shirin Van Anrooij wore the European champs jersey despite it being only national teams, whilst in the men there are more and more trade teams

Think about how much he could have won Crit champs by

World champs should be like this with trade teams. 25 FDJ French riders vs 20 Belgian Alpecin riders

@ebenhh.bsky.social @zoeface44.bsky.social time to start piling on the pressure Roglic is the out and out favourite, if he wins be anything less than 15 minutes it and he are an abject failure
