That’s fair. I didn’t think about Becher because when he subs in it’s typically for another attacker - Silva has replaced CMs, which seems reckless. But I could be wrong

Why are we putting Silva in as a CDM late game, repeatedly?

That Teuchert miss had me shouting at my TV

Wouldn’t you say it’s more related to Silva coming in to play to replace a CDM? I felt this coming as soon as I saw Durkin sub out

That’s a good point, and COL would certainly be an appropriate measuring stick, having already played them to 0-0 draw. Heck, even doing that, again, would be an improvement with the direction we’re falling.

I guess you can only say “we aren’t finishing our very limited quality chances” so many times, in so many different words, eh?

A great discussion. I appreciate you all being so candid

Zalinsky? And now Nilsson is hurt again? He didn’t even play!

Nope sorry, he’ll get injured and you’ll LIKE IT

Great show tonight - I didn’t expect such refreshingly direct discussion about the front office as a whole. I appreciate the realness.

Yes - I felt something shift on the drive home after this match. I am transitioning from a huge fan to a casual one - can’t handle the emotional roller coaster of hope here. Will I watch them, yeah. Will I go to more matches? Only if I get free tickets. But I’m done following the club’s every move.

Sadly if injuries are sufficient justification for Olof’s team struggling (which I will neither agree or disagree with), then that means that it should have been sufficient to keep Carnell, which honestly may have been better in the long run.

when was that sequence?

Thank goodness, we need Kessler

So Lowen cannot be relied on?

I think it would be sheer insanity to boot Olof. Not because he’s amazing, but for two reasons. 1-injuries, which you hit on. 2-who is going to ever going to be interested in coaching here if we repeatedly fire coaches mid-season. Best we can do is allow Olof and “part ways” post-season.

Had the same thought - “will putting in Celio or Silva help?” and sadly, “no” since we couldn’t even get them the ball. On the plus side, Ostrak having a decent game dribbling.

Good to know! My mom is into genealogy as well, she might know something.

Hey, my neck of the woods! Will have to see if my parents recognize those names, and if any other relatives are still around.

so he’s definitely a forward wing?

all right, sounds like the SAC vs FAR will be one I to catch, at minimum. Thanks!

It’s my first time following open Cup - what 2 matches would be best to watch tonight?

I remember the messaging that Vassilev wasn’t happy…but was unsure how much of that was the rumor-mill vs reality
comment in response to

Dumb question - does this all mean that Vassilev’s departure was NOT a Melberg decision?
comment in response to

I have definitely been learning more about offsides, with all
the talk about this goal…which only upsets me more about how
the call was decided!
comment in response to

Agreed, and there have been some…unfortunate decisions he made with some of goals allowed. I like him, he’s not. bad shot stopper (better at stopping PKs than RB1) but we need Burki.
comment in response to

He’s definitely offense-oriented

I appreciate the section about player accountability - Olof may or may be leading our horses to water…but not sure our players would even recognize the water, if he was.

nice, I’ll have to track him down then. Enjoy the watch party!

You all going to be in KC?

30% at least. Would do more if there was an MLS-general podcast…

Probably more related to the Celio and Ostrak additions

Agreed, this is problematic. Especially because of how Lowen has been drifting to the back, as you’ve said…but then is still handling distribution. It makes me wonder where Lowen’s head is at, especially with the concerns with his wife and such.

Great, there goes 2/3 of my consistently high scoring MLS Fantasy City players!
Also…oh no! our team! Not both of them 🙁
