I hate the trope.. but TBH I always hated 1e Bards, as being utterly nonsensical. Admittedly, capturing the Celtic Bard flavor isn't easy, so no shade, just overly convoluted, IMO. I felt the 2e "Renaissance" Bard was the best fit for most settings, TBF. But then 3e came & they went to shit. 🤷‍♂️

my nose really that big? 🤔

someone forgot to tell everyone playing 3e and later that, apparently.

heeey a fellow Khruangbin fan. Discovered em during the pandemic, still can never spell their ding dang name right, but they are great for when I just need something to groove to while working, etc. DJ ain't the flashiest drummer, but he's a human metronome. I keep em on a playlist w/ Warpaint, etc

If you can only draw what you are tracing over, your art will be very stiff and unnatural, even though most of our artists are way more technically skilled than I am. But too often you can see an overreliance on the actual 3D model, something I also fight when doing official linework.

the reference isn't my point, it's relying too heavily on the 3D models. Most modern Battletech art is literally drawn OVER the 3D models, not freehand. This preserves proportions, but also limits you to the motion limits of the 3D model itself, in general, leading to stiff poses in a lot of art.

I mean... the entire thing felt shrugworthy to me, so that would seem to at least be consistent?

mind you, neither is "right", it depends on what you the artist, or possibly you the client, want. More mechanically "real", or gundam dynamic... or somewhere in between which is where I try to reside. But if you wonder why a lot of the mechs in our recent art have sometimes looked stiff?

maybe? Bit annoyed they closed the bloody corner farmacia/consultario. With my lungs being as compromised as they are, usually end up need a round of the dread antibiotics, but no consultario in walking range, so right now, it's.. load management and brain fog. 🤷‍♂️

I'll give y'all a positive bargain. A cool $5 million? Done. Heck, even my haters I could do a solid for, and promise they'd never hafta hear or see me again.

having rules isn't the same as being some sort of noble honorable hunter, mate. But believe what you will.
comment in response to post
The honor has always been missing or largely overblown. There was zero honorable to the original Predators hunters in either movie.

What about them?

Think of those rednecks that drive around with confederate flags and truck nuts, who usually listen to BroCountry? This is Metal Lite aimed at the same crowd.

was going to complain about the modern bias, but then I realized I am going on 50 this year.... and now I just need some CBD, or maybe a fat J and a hug..... 😞 (and some tiger balm for my knees)🤣

in short? The only difference between a Yautja and the average Bubba in their hunting blind? I mean.. the Yautja tend to actually be in shape. But their prey has about as much chance as the average deer of fighting back. They got interstellar tiny penis issues.

should have read two burgers and a shake, but eh, high AF on flu meds, so... it is what it is.

the fries are indeed bad. And yeah, they can be ordered extra crispy.. at which point theory are only middle of the pack bad. I mean when you manage yo make Wendy's fries look tasty???? (honestly, when in Lodi, I'd take an A&W Papa Burger, Rootbeer Float and Fries.)

*whispers* (and were never as good as Texans want to think... Texas has brisket and tex-mex pretty well cornered, but maybe not the culinary experts at everything else they like to believe. Was usually decent, but never "drive from out of state to try", good. Sorry not sorry. :P )

great burger.. I will say.. terrible fries. But the solution for that for me was always... just buy two burgers, skip the fries. And since 2 double doubles AND fries are still cheaper than a single double burger meal from 5 Guys.... win/win?
