No, both have their pros and cons. We use pnpm to make it easier to review PRs that update the package-lock.
There's no need to get into the debate about which one is better, use whatever your project needs.

Okay, just for emails, not GitHub notifications. Those PRs only show up at the beginning of a new month (at least in the repos I follow and contribute to)

I love Astro too, and once @expressjs.bsky.social finishes the workshop we have on the site redesign, I'm going to bring up the suggestion again to switch to Astro or something newer that doesn’t give me headaches.
