Thanks. Yes, that's consistent with my understanding. They are too narrow, IMO, given the proliferation of emobility devices. People are going very different speeds in the bikes lanes. There needs to be room to pass. 8' would be great.

My understanding is that the minimum bike lane width in the US is 4 feet. nacto.org/publication/... Am I understanding this correctly?

Is the proliferation, speed and weight of ebikes rendering much of our existing bicycle infrastructure obsolete? If so, what should be done about it?
