I toppled an entire wall of kayaks (imagine dozens of 14 foot, hollow plastic tubes slamming down on hard floors) at Dunham's. I've only ever seen them individually secured to the walls ever since ....

Was this built with the money cut from providing children with free lunches at school?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowd_c... This is an easy read but man what a rabbit hole when you start looking into the specifics of each one. I still have no idea, but at least my ADHD came in handy for a few hours!

So my thinking is the organizers also get a similar follow-up asking for an estimate? This could help fill in the gaps for rural areas where numbers are only in the dozens/hundreds. That being said, no freaking idea on how to count larger cities, but maybe larger crowds are easier to estimate?

Just my hot take - my local chapter of 50501 is through mobilize.us where you sign up for notifications for local protests (50501, nokings, indivisible, etc). They do ask for feedback for the local organizer after the fact and ask if you attended. I'm sure these numbers are added into the total.

lol!!! To be fair, I didn't notice it the first time until I saw the comments! It's a clever one

Saying is attendance was 8,647 people, 8647 meaning remove (one polite interpretation) the 47th president

Read the numbers again ;)

It's all about building momentum. How many people would show up if the first attempt at organizing is a full blown nationwide strike? I know your answer, and I agree, it *should* be everyone, but let's be real... These protests have gained a ton of support it seems consistency is the first goal

I don't talk politics to my young ones (yet), just that PBS might go away. The oldest immediately wanted to make a sign and protest with us

He said a few lines about it, calling it a horrible tragedy, but I'm not sure if it was on his truth account or in a news conference. Either way, he's barely acknowledged it

Do you remember where you saw 5 being the actual numbers? Activist groups are saying 11/12.1 and I'm only seeing 5 from articles like this. I truly don't trust nyt to report on this fairly so I'm more inclined to believe the higher numbers given from the groups hosting these rallies
comment in response to post
That being said, yes! Keep the pressure on! We can all start grassroot movements in parallel to NoKings/50501!

It's all about building momentum. Organized protests like this have only been going for a few months and it's quadrupled in size. I was impatient and cynical at first too but the massive growth makes the decisions to build up first make more sense.

www.politifact.com/factchecks/2... Completely false. There's enough horrible shit he and his administration has done, we don't need to rely on shock value memes

You mean Gym Jordan, current congressman who actively covered up over 150 cases of sexual abuse? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_St...

How are they a grifter account? I haven't seen anything showing that they're anything but advocates

So nothing new on her end anytime we see them make appearances together

We all have by staying silent for so long

Yeah we saw a lot of supporters drive by with signs in their cars waving, cheering, and honking. Even more reason to share, repost, and forward the next rally to your networks. We win by being active activists and bringing more and more people to the cause

And use apps that automatically upload and backup videos/photos outside of your default apps. ACLU Mobile Justice was taken down and I haven't found a good alternative, but these services are critical for preserving and documenting

And we're truly only a couple months into to organized protests. I wish we didn't have to protest, but I'm happy to see the response growing so rapidly.

The font for No Parking is ~2 inches tall and the 'Par' is ~3.5 inches wide. Remember to measure your tape ahead of time so you can cover it in one pass and save time/avoid suspicion!

Findlay, OH showed up today. Over 600, doubling the last protest. Even in red areas, we show up!

They're all millionaires before they get into office and multimillionaires after they leave. They can pay out of pocket for everything or they'll accept bribes, I mean donations, from lobbyists for free care.

Let's be real. It was never about making it better, it was about controlling the media.

I'm not sure about the election and VPN points? I couldn't find anything that relates to delaying/cancelling elections or anything about (additional) monitoring of traffic or individuals. If we're going to fight Trump, we have enough actual things to fight against without resorting to false alarms?

I wish I could agree because it would make things easier. She's truly not dumb, it's very intentional, very deliberate, and honestly very smart in the worst way possible. Constantly reinforcing lies and misdirections slows down the truth. It's much harder to disprove things than it is to spread lies

But how else can people get to their white collar jobs in the city without a three ton pickup truck that's as fuel efficient as a military humvee?
