Idk, I still feel the temple being frustrating for alot of people means it could have been designed better to begin with. Other temples have annoying bits in them too but they aren't as infamously annoying as the Water Temple is. Just cause we pushed through doesnt mean it couldn't be better.

I think what it is is theres a couple spots where you can just get stuck and needing to constantly change the water levels to search the same areas repeatedly can get a bit annoying. Last time I played, I got stuck cause of a chest in the center column you can only get after raising the water level

So is whoever working on the current act known as
"The Elephant in the room"?

For those wondering, the game was called "Fractured Blossoms" and did actually look fairly interesting; it just kinda sucks the intro to it was something so reductive as "oh the main character looks a little anime so obvious DDLC!"

Honestly it just made me feel bad when these "Small teams" get their games revealed beside a bunch of other games that look really similar to their's so I can't remember which are which.

Changes the ToS to add a ton of pointless and terrible things for absolutely no reason. This is why the game's being review bombed.
Don't take the game. They literally just want your information and crap like this shouldnt be supported
comment in response to

yeah, they get a bunch of your personal information, you cant sue them, and mods are bannable entirely. For a game this old, its absolutely inexcusable to do this

Really says alot that I think the only ones I've heard are the DC Super Girls game *once* when it was announced, maybe saw it at the store, and maybe heard of the Arkham game during its announcement or something
comment in response to

Also DC had the most character slots in Multiversus and that had a first time development team that was terribly mismanaged by idiot producers who don't understand how to monetize their games
And Marvel is getting a new tag team fighter breaking new ground made by one of the biggest FG devs

I mean it has 8 characters announced already and it's already better than MvCI's roster DLC included

Pretty unlikely as this is a team fighter; it's gonna be pretty inherently chaotic since theres already screen shots of ALL FOUR characters from one team being on screen at the same time.

Yes, she knows how to use swords and guns, and yes, Deadpool also has a fourth wall schtick, but Gwenpool is steeped in it for her entire character. her whole KIT would be built around it; not just a taunt and Level 3.
She could potentially have one of the craziest kits ever in a fighting game.

I love how frazzled the hair looks especially with her different expressions. Good work!

Really specific but the way Odinsphere handles the Fire DoT
The time for it goes down only if you're moving. Its small but its a brilliant way to make FIre feel different from Poison or other DoT's, yet it's remarkably rare games do it to the point I think Odinsphere is the only one i've seen

Nah that's fair. I remember someone saying something similar about Garnet's moveset, primarily from just looking at her attack names, so I was wondering if it was a legitimate complaint.
At least they're better realized than Beetlejuice who just had a boring kit for someone so zany
comment in response to
post
Yeah I agree. I think you CAN tell the difference between something that raises the difficulty 'fairly' and something that's just 'punishes you way too hard for dying' or 'beginner's traps' or the like but there's alot of people who just accept everything as the same kind of difficulty

I'm actually genuinely curious now. What was the problem with how the characters were written? I was mostly concerned with how their kits played and they were fine for the most part.

I got to voice the trash can Yosuke gets stuck in.

Aquaman has some legitimately cool trident attacks that be cool to see on Ganondorf. Least the game got one decent spear-like weapon user
I can't even defend Lola as a pick; just very odd. I also talk alot about the Rumours around Tony Huynh but I think the monetization is what killed the game.
comment in response to

To show how much they care, the official website didnt even update with the Lola/Aquaman characters after Raven and Marcie. Raven's patch was when they added the Fighter's Road too if im not mistaken which I imagine killed alot of people's motivation to play the game with how hard that screwed them

The grind for the Rowdyruff Skin made me realize how bad the battlepass was since you could only reasonably fill it with Dailies
Nubia I want to defend as a literally who pick but her kit is kinda uninteresting
Game was on its last legs so I barely played Raven and Marcie but they're fine

Smith's event was absolutely miserable but at least I helped other people get him for free. His gun was satisfying though
Samurai Jack's Neutral attack is stupid. Adding a reference doesnt make the move better! it made it worse!
BJ might be the most disappointed i've been in a character kit
comment in response to
post
Also screw Free for All mode. It was by far the worst mode in the game and the Dailies ALWAYS made you play it. Why? I dont get it. Not even 2v2 mode? FFA ended whenever someone got 3 kills, rather than everyone having 3 lives so people just picked Jason and swung his axe til they stole kills
comment in response to

We're at the relaunch characters now.
BG was a controversial pick. I'll defend him to a degree but his kit is pretty boring
Jason's the character to make people go "WAIT HE WAS IN A PLATFORM FIGHTER?!?! AND SICK?!?!"
Joker's kit is underwhleming and they REALLY wanted you to buy him.
comment in response to

People hate Black Adam for be an Ad pick but I think he makes up for that for being a long establish DC character and really unique in the roster
Feels like they had to stretch for moves on Gizmo
Marvin had a very strange kit you wouldn't see in other platform fighters and was legitimately fun.
comment in response to

How the frick is Lebron James the most well designed character in this game? It's actually crazy. Really fun
Didn't play Rick or Morty so not much to say
Stripe was fun but I think both him AND Gizmo were excessive. Maybe shoulda been one or the other or both as one slot.

Velma's usually the kind of character I hate but it works for her and she was fun
Some say Taz was a bad choice cause it shoulda been Daffy or something but I think he was a great choice
Iron Giant is interesting just for trying to make such a big character work, even if it didn't fully work
comment in response to

Barely played Bugs. Did teammates ever interact with his hole move?
Bats coulda been better but it kinda feels they made him braindead easy cause popular when he should be based on outsmarting the enemy
Arya is my main so I had alot to say on her side special which bugged me

Harley's fun. I also talk a little about the DC roster in general in her section
Garnet a bit unga bunga but good kit overall. Sad we never got Lapis Lazuli when she was already leaked
Finn having a shopping gimmick is a really weird choice to me and I don't understand why he needed it.

Shaggy is funny meme haha. People generally happy with his inclusion but im meh.
I wish we got to saw more OC's in the game but Reindog's fine
Jake was the first character I was kinda disappointed with that they didn't go 'bigger' but he was still fun enough to play.

Tom and Jerry's kit was a great idea, and I think Superman's kit came out well considering all the powers they had to fit on him
I liked Steven but he had this strange problem of having too many 'big' moves too remember so I just stopped using Down special so I could remember the other three.

I will however be using the "post screenshots of Notepad" method cause theres 30+ characters to go through. Click the first image for in-depth thoughts
Tl;dr Wondie was alright. Wished she used the lasso more. Her Down attack meter thing was weird and seemed to have 3 conflicting times to use it

Same here. Its really endearing that they don't let hopelessness or evil deeds corrupt them or tempt them to stoop to their levels. It's far more inspiring to see a character that genuinely believes everyone deserves a chance.

oh and the third tier list is comparing MN9's power ups to Megaman 11. This is a particular sticking point for me because I actually like the power-ups in Mighty no. 9 more than MM11's
comment in response to

To further prove my point, I've even made tierlists that no one asked for about both these games just in case it comes up. The second one is comparing the 'traumas' of each character in the novel compared to the game.
Yes, I will actually defend the chess nerd's breakdown at least a little bit.

Im actually a fan of talking about games like Balan Wonderworld and Mighty no. 9. Balan is *fascinatingly* bad but I feel people always focus on the wrong elements, and Mighty no. 9 is just 'okay' but has alot of haters because of the circumstances behind it. So both are interesting to talk about.

On the whole, I'd probably prefer a game with good gameplay but bad story. I quit playing Granblue Fantasy cause I wasnt enjoying the story, but I can think of more cases where the gameplay was annoying and I couldnt keep playing, or games where the story was pretty ignorable.

Its really annoying that I heard more people complaining about Fahkumram returning and this is the first I heard about the in-game advertisements. That seems like a FAR bigger issue than 'problem character from last game coming back'

Oh frick, I remember seeing the cover for "Nasira's revenge" but never playing it. NOW you have me curious.
Also good bloody taste putting Emperor's new groove on there. I remember enjoying it as a kid. 10 Points to you.

Nah, take it further. Make games play like old school RPG's where things only move after choosing an option and then make the whole attack 'animation' a singular frame that lasts one second before returning to normal. You'd average less than one frame per second I bet.
comment in response to

"Action" basically just means 'you're doing things' so its remarkably unspecific and I'd probably need more info or ask for clarification.
The most I could assume is it might have combat that isn't turn-based but even that can make anything from Dark Souls to Devil may Cry
