Have listings dried up for companies doing significant layoffs, like msft, meta, alphabet, etc? Or do we really believe that they are doing double-digit percentage layoffs and then immediately hiring?

Something seems to have changed. Positions I know for a fact are already filled and will never be hired stay up permanently. I suspect perhaps companies realize that listings are a signal to both investors and competitors so they've learned to flood the field to avoid leaking their activity.

Open secret at this point that listings are not actual positions being hired. The data your conclusion is based on is inherently tainted.

Wonder what would happen if a hundred nude people showed up to hang out at the park.

If I declare a state of emergency that lasts longer than 60 days while the Legislature is not in session, I will terminate that emergency, or any order arising from it, if three leaders of the four legislative caucuses write to me requesting that action.

LLM transparency has many dimensions. Two key ones are: do we know what's in the training data? And can we inspect the code and run it on our local network? LLMs vary considerably along these dimensions. "Proprietary" LLMs, which tend to be developed by for-profit companies, fare poorly on both.

If you haven't seen Dog Day Afternoon, the plot hinges on a man robbing a bank to get his Trans-wife enough money for gender-affirming surgery. It was made in 1975, won an Oscar, and is based on a true story involving trans activist Elizabeth Eden. That's why ChatGPT can't give an accurate summary.

Justice, not vengeance. Don't be bloodthirsty.

You're being responded to, not "come after", because you're blaming the other people as if they could have anticipated this outcome.

That happened in less than a second. Ice is not conducive to moving quickly. And don't forget that this is not exactly normal in the league; nobody would have expected that behavior.

You don't "defend" after the attack is over.

For anyone considering taking this seriously, tor and signal do completely different things and he is spreading misinformation.

Woosh, right over your head. Oh no, I insulted the honor of somebody spewing nonsense? Yes, civility politics is definitely the important question here. 🤡 He is trying to lecture a literal expert, but sure ok I'm wrong. 🙄

Not a comparable situation. Google plans those kinds of product shutdowns well in advance. This was not that.

That was never the conversation we were having. But now I have a better understanding of your goal. You're just trying to make me feel shitty apparently. Not sure why that would make you happy but I can't deliver that for you.
