几乎每个被造的神，或多或少自己也会逐渐相信自己是天选之子。造神之后身边还会聚拢一大批“神之助”。马屁精和偶像之间的互动会形成信息茧房，偶像对外界的束缚和批评或越来越不耐烦，希望摆脱束缚，自由自在的发挥自己天马行空的天才。马忠贤和渣肯伯格都面临着联邦政府越来越多的监管和质疑，于是倾向于和他们同样有“领袖”气质的太祖合流。
可笑的是这些寡头认识不到这个趋势，反而借口是为了美国的发展，认为只有在他们这些“极端稳定的天才”领导下，美国才能继续创新，保持遥遥领先的地位。

为了造神，这些老总的人格缺陷不仅被掩盖，还搞成了天才特质，符合这些特质的员工也渐渐成了科技公司员工的标准形象，比如书呆子、不善交际、宅等等，连着装发型也有标准形象。
在这种文化影响下，科技公司的产品也是倾向于让人们更极端，更封闭。产品的使用者们也更容易受算法影响，自以为勇敢其实怯懦，自以为独立其实人云亦云。什么事情都认为可以通过技术解决，但越来越没有人味。
