I think it is always an uphill struggle. Hopefully you will start to get some traction. The important thing is don't quit. Although I know that is easier to say than to do.

That said, a Kindle countdown for a week at 99c reduced from, say, $4.99 is different.
There are promo sites that will generate sales and that does lead to reviews which helps get the ball rolling.
Presumably the ttrpg industry doesn't have a similar setup? I'm guessing no. 😕

That's really rough. It's not my wheelhouse so I don't know, but with books I have found that giving them away does not result in reviews or even reads.
Selling short sends the wrong message. Holding out for full market value feels tough but it tells prospective readers that I value my work.

It's not mentioned in the Wikipedia article about this.
Apparently Ealing has the highest density of Poles in Greater London.
Must have been a reason though. That's the only one I can think of.

For starters, reading your thread. 😉
Obviously I am on the other side of the fence as well, so I don't know if my views carry too much weight.
My main point is, to any hopefuls, don't jump in feet first.
Too good to be true and all that. Be suspicious of anyone promising you wealth and fame.

Have to apply common sense, a commodity which is often sadly lacking in new authors desperate for a book deal.
The number of people I have to turn down, for their good as well as mine, who beg me to reconsider even though I know that I won't be able to sell their book. 🙁

Aah. Thank you.
I honestly don't know who to vote for but Zack has never posted anything I am not in full agreement with, as far as I can remember, and he seems like a sound spokesperson for our core principles.
Whomever wins, we are going to face more scrutiny as we increase our poll numbers.

Make your mind up.
You can give people what they want, or you can give them what they need.
You can't do both.

There's something pretty tragic about a country famed for how much it rains managing to run out of water.
It's almost as though we allowed our most basic and essential infrastructure to be run for profit by foreign investors.
But that would be ridiculous, right?

I think that looks lovely. But my personal opinion aside, since it is irrelevant, I suspect that you can change the nib on a Mont Blanc
I owned one once. Alas I even managed to lose that pen eventually. 🙁
