Can anyone recommend the best IRC chat client for Ubuntu Linux? I'm trying out HexChat, but it looks like it's no longer developed.

Yes, Linux would run inside Windows. You would simply copy/backup your Linux Mint "Home" folder (which contains all your personal files and data). The next step would be to do a fresh install of Linux Mint and then copy all the files in your saved "Home" folder back into your installed Linux Mint.

One of the great things about VMware Workstation is that you can access and transfer files between the Windows (Host) and the Linux Virtual machine. This is done by enabling "Shared Folders" within the settings-options of VMware Workstation.

Have you considered installing Linux Mint as a virtual machine? Broadcom provides VMware Workstation for free.
Here's a link to an article about it:

His influence extends beyond media ownership to fostering a network of right-wing commentators and politicians, including connections to figures like Jacob Rees-Mogg and Nigel Farage on GB News, and involvement with conservative think tanks and conferences.

He owns The Spectator magazine, a prominent conservative publication, and has heavily invested in GB News, a TV channel known for its openly right-leaning stance that has gained a substantial audience, sometimes surpassing the BBC’s all-news channel.

Let's put this into some perspective. Sir Paul Marshall wields significant influence over UK media through ownership and funding of key right-wing outlets and initiatives.

I never used WhatsApp or any Meta platform. Signal is great. I've used Wire too. Refused to ever use WhatsApp, even when requested at work.

The picture reminds me of Rubens' paintings. (Peter Paul Rubens, a Flemish Baroque painter (1577–1640), is known for a dynamic, emotionally charged style and grand, complex compositions.)

Trump is a crook, lier and a cheat. His signature on any deal is utterly worthless.

The National Post and collection of almost 100 newpapers across Canada are owned by Post Media. They are ultimately owned by a US based hedge fund with close ties with the Republican Party.

The company remains under the control of successive generations of the Thomson family, with David Thomson, the current Baron Thomson of Fleet, playing a leading role in the family business. The board of Woodbridge includes family members such as Peter Thomson, who acts as Chairman of the company.

You must mean the National Post?
Woodbridge is a private holding company owned and controlled by the Thomson family of Canada. It serves as the primary investment for the family's wealth and business interests, including their majority stake in Thomson Reuters and ownership of the Globe and Mail.

Trump will probably hire him to chair the committee on Women's issues and sexual reproduction.

Since he's known to confuse the UK with the EU, I wonder if Trump thinks the Mideast is New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

I wouldn't trust any Microsoft products. They include spyware. LibreOffice is a free alternative and Thunderbird email client is a great replacement for Outlook.

Even if your final destination is not the US, avoid any flights that connect (stopover) at one of their airports.

Here's one from the movies that you're probably not going to see. And if flies! (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 1968) 😀

During the incident, federal agents pushed him to the ground and handcuffed him. However, Padilla himself and multiple reports clarified that he was not arrested or detained; he was handcuffed briefly but not taken into custody. After the incident, Padilla met with Secretary Noem for a discussion.
