Dude. This is becoming an interview. Last ones. (And please don’t do this to other actors- very inappropriate) I did audition for Mixels and yes, I audition every day. Even when I travel.

I don’t own the character. It’s up to the producers who they want to hire.

I was working on the game voicing another character at the time. I actually asked them to hire David, but I was already there in studio and it was cheaper just to have me do it (they could have us record up to three characters under that contract for one price)

He did replace me for at least one version. He’s my friend and I love him, so happy he got the gig.

Getting access to union auditions is difficult if you’re not in the union. You have to basically be a unique enough talent that they can’t find in the union casting pool, and find a casting person who will be willing to do what they call a Taft-Hartley so you will be able to work on a union game.

Literally every person in the business was once a newcomer. If you’re good, and ready when opportunity strikes, you’ll get your chance. I would strongly urge you not to base your career on taking someone else else’s job though. Expand your horizons and be open to other characters and possibilities.

Concentrate on getting good before looking for money. If you become excellent at what you do and are easy to work with, eventually the money will follow. Making money cannot be your first priority or you’re gonna destroy yourself.

It might be every man for himself in other parts of the business, but in VoiceOver, we actually help each other. It takes patience, time, and a lot of training. Everybody started somewhere.

Direct email is inappropriate. Sorry. That’s why I created my school. Happy to help, but there has to be structure for that. Thousands of people want to get into this business.

Great idea, and thank you for thinking this up, but none of that is EVER up to me. I’m just a voice actor. I didn’t even get to audition for that show.

If you tried to reach me via email, I won’t get it. My email is private. Never ok to do that. What’s your question?

Of course I don’t hate you! I’m trying to help you!

You can do whatever you want, but honestly, intentionally gunning for gigs that others are doing is a terrible way to start a career.
