Hazelwood, who is originally from Italy and now resides in the U.S., was booked for several international appearances before she canceled because "it's not possible for me to safely travel outside and then back inside the US," she wrote on Instagram.

I will turn 50 this September. I was born in 1975, and I represent the only generation of American women born with full rights that have been lost in the same lifetime. My generation has witnessed anti-progress. A cultivated backpedal. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...

Dep’t of Energy issued direct final rule that will eliminate long-standing requirement of Section 504 which requires new buildings constructed w/federal funds be accessible to people w/disabilities. i don’t know where you are at today. i don’t know your plans, your purpose, or your passion. but i know you are worthy of care and kindness. not just as a customer of our public service. but as a person. connections matter— unseen as they may be.

Can't stop lol'ing 😁

Veterans are being fired from federal jobs, and military families’ healthcare and benefits are being lost. Join or stream the DC rally tomorrow–or show up to one of the locally organized events near you. www.unite4veterans.org

“big balls” is trending but apparently it has nothing to do with Paris sewers of the 1870s which is unfortunate

4-year-old Bakersfield girl facing deportation could die within days of losing medical care - Los Angeles Times Don’t ever tell me that Christians support the GOP. There is nothing Christian or Christ-like about this. Just plain old cruelty and callousness:

There's nothing holy about writing discrimination into the law.

Federal workers are being indiscriminately fired – and they know firsthand what’s at stake, not just for their own lives, but for Americans who rely on vital federal services.   We held a press conference with SW Ohioans so they could speak out and share their stories. 🧵🎥👇🏼

If Joe Biden said this kind of word salad on "Meet The Press," I imagine it would be a major story. And this is one of his more coherent responses in an interview transcript that has to be read to be believed. (Link to complete interview in next post.)/1

RFKJ is saying that all “new vaccines” should be tested in clinical trials. Specifically, placebo trials (where the comparison group gets a “sugar pill”). It sounds reasonable to test new vaccines right? Well here’s the issue with this approach:

“A new study models the impact of the implosion of U.S.-funded disease treatment and prevention in the developing world — and suggests that Elon Musk and Marco Rubio will go down as among history’s greatest monsters if funding and effective administration are not restored.”

The Republican-controlled House on Thursday voted for the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act — a bill that voting rights groups have repeatedly warned would make it harder for millions of Americans, including married women, to vote. (via @19thnews.org)

The SAVE Act doesn’t just suppress votes — it puts a price tag on them. Documents like a birth certificate, driver’s license, or court-ordered name change can cost anywhere from $15 to over $100, depending on where you live.

Usefully clear reasoning here. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/09/o...

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific. If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

This story is very unsettling. Please read and share. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I’m seeing a lot of posts about downloading Kindle books by Feb. 26. Is the concern that access to books that are being banned will end? I don’t have a working Kindle… most of mine are through Audible. Do I need a USB, external hard drive, or something else to download via my pc? Any suggestions?

Working class Americans live 6 years shorter lives than the wealthy. Doctors believe economic stress is a major factor in that disparity. I asked Americans to describe how stress impacts their lives & well-being. The responses were heartbreaking. Here are some of them:

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

I've been waiting for an instance of censorship by government outlet Xitter that someone could build a 1A case around. This might be the one! @mluckovich.bsky.social

This attack on our kids’ futures is wrong. That’s why on March 4, public school supporters will march to protect our kids & fight for the schools & funding they need. We should be investing in our kids & strengthening our public schools, not taking a hatchet to them. www.aft.org/column/prote...

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They make sure we have clean water. They protect us from financial fraud. They provide healthcare to our communities. They make our government actually work for people. Do not forget this.
