I'm trying to understand the structure of a gamefile for an obscure game... it seems to use a password to prevent people from opening them up in the editor, but the data itself is not encrypted in any way.

Immediately afterwards, I was asked if I wanted to see the AI art creations they had made. The whiplash was so severe I was left speechless.

I feel like I saw this mentioned a million years ago (give or take) on slashdot or similar and had completely forgotten about it.

I had one of these! Possibly related, I nearly bid on an industrial robot arm that was going for far far below its retail price earlier today.... I just have too many projects already and no where to put them.

(And of course WE TOLD THEM, but again: They can't be told. They have to have it happen to them. Even then there's a fair chance they'll just dig in deeper. It's hard to admit you've been conned. Even harder to admit that you were told and on some level knew you were being conned, and went along.)

Anyway, it lives at bnrub.in, and nothing is there yet except a To Do. This is mostly for my own use as a documentation hub, but I suppose I'll throw a link here whenever I do end up updating it.

Theres a 5v JST port on the HAT, and the instructions suggest to use it... but cables to connect to the pi's IO headers just don't exist. Luckily I have a box of JST connectors and a crimper, but I have to wonder what a normal person would do if they came across this issue.

I'm currently using PiGallery2 for sharing screenshots and other project related photos. Its very lightweight, but doesn't have any android sync. I do it all manually. I've been looking at possibly moving to immich. meichthys.github.io/foss_photo_l... may be helpful in making a decision.

I also want to get some sort of reverse proxy setup working (Traefik?) so that I can more easily get to my all the stuff I have hosted internally.... and then maybe VPN stuff later?

That's what you say now... but soon you'll be buying IoT plugs and setting up all sorts of automations. I have The Sun setup as a trigger to turn on and off my porch lights. Could I do this with a timer? Sure, but that'll wont respect daylight savings changes.

I think we're going to see that number move quite a bit as remaining votes get counted... (<60% of california's votes are counted for example) but its still a problem.

I'm very unhappy with the shift to the right here in NJ.
