Or, I guess, the jurors want to keep going past 4:30 bc they’re close?

It has to be, right?

AND are good at prioritizing. Outside of work, it can be hard for me to do that.

Used to find a contract/document or clause from another matter they handled. However, it’s not connected to a publicly available AI system. It uses only the files that client adds & the data is not accessible to anyone outside of authorized users. THAT use is v cool and helpful.

I mean, if it’s used as a base but reads it and fully checks it, maybe it’s OK. Not “almost all” lawyers are using it. Maybe in his industry. I don’t know of any in my industry who use it. That said, there are many contract management systems that have an AI function.

Fcking dumb. It’s not about them being concerned about the outcome as the Judge seems think. They’re asking bc it’s not clear from instructions/verdict slip. ANYONE would use “if” in that question. It’s not a hypothetical. You??

Add on to that, ppl forget that AI uses the data entered to “learn”. I can’t even imagine the sheer number of ppl using confidential info in their prompts. The copyright issues alone should concern ppl.

That’s so true. I’m an attorney and the amount of lawyers that have started to use it for court filings/briefs/articles is wild. Even using it for research is a trap. Many have been “bench slapped” bc wrong or non existent case cites. Just pure inaccuracy of laws. Never ever for me.

I know, right?! I’ve been doing the “budget billing” since moving just so I can have some semblance of consistency (until reconciliation). It’s been “easier” for budgeting. BUT it definitely goes up about every 6 months.

Just don’t let it get to the point where you’re blind to or apathetic toward the issues. I know YOU won’t, but I fear many others will. It’s healthy to take a step back to take care of yourself. That’s so important!! Plus, at least you’re getting shit done. I’m more like OP.

That said, I’m more fortunate than many others. I received max unemployment, & had free COBRA for a few months. I continue to advocate for better access to mental health professionals bc I know what it’s like to be unable to afford it. Never mind knowing how to find the right one for them.

Currently, I pay $250/session. Insurance covers < 1/2 when I submit the claim. Not to mention the $185/psychiatrist appt (same reimbursement as above) every 6-8 weeks (depends on med changes). Plus, $300+ for coverage through COBRA. AND $ for meds. Hasn’t been easy bc unemployed for a year.

I say this as someone who has often struggled to pay for therapy & needed to “quit” for that reason many times. I always wanted to continue during those times bc it saved my life. It helped me break free of some generational cycles, & be able to live a very different life than the family.

As their THERAPIST?! JFC. NOT OK. Benefits of in person/virtual therapy is knowing someone (a real person) is there for you & it helps you feel less alone. The false narrative that AI is a replacement for any sort of medical care needs to be stomped out ASAP!! People WILL die because of this.

Yesterday I received my “inheritance” check from step-father’s “estate” (it’s hard to use those words when he really didn’t have anything). Rough timing.

FRONT LINES #THERESISTANCE #MAGA Respect curfews. Paid agitators may be inciting chaos to justify the Insurrection Act. Staying in makes it easier to spot them and helps law enforcement target real perpetrators. 📢 Remind active duty military they can claim themselves as a conscientious objector. 🔄
